Well it had to happen @ some time....
Discussion
I suffered with the crazy speedo & rev counter dials this morning.
I was doing 60mph @ 500rpm in stationary traffic !!!
Then all of a sudden the speedo needle when round to 200mph & back to 60.....
The speedo was fluctuating while driving & was around 15-20mph out as I switched to the digital read out & the rev counter moved very slowly.
This happened with the current milage on the car @ 3,667.
Will it ever happen again ?
Will have to wait & see :)

Hi Mike
I got the lights from Grantwalker Parts in OZ <a href="www.grantwalker.com.au/Home/Home.asp">www.grantwalker.com.au/Home/Home.asp</a>
I delt with a guy called Paul Woods. Paul was very heplful & the lights arrived in about 10-14 days.
The quality is fine but not a touch on standard equipment.
The only thing I did to the lights was fit the indicator bulb from the standard lights & moved the indicators to the top hole instead of the bottom (reverse).
The lights come with a wiring connector/loom that plugs straight into the loom in the car.
They fit very well but they do have a slight "spring" to them where they fit to the wing but nothing to worry about.
There is also a slight gap around the outside of them but as its on a black car it doesn't really show.
I will get pictures of the lights tomorrow for you.
If you leave me an email address I will send them over for you or maybe someone could post them up on here for me.
Ps I will also give the email address for paul & the make of lights.
I found them on Ebay but didn't deal through Ebay.
These are the ones I have got <a href="http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/VT-VX-VZ-Commodore-Monaro-Performance-Tail-Lights_W0QQitemZ4572623802QQcategoryZ29700QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem">http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/VT-VX-VZ-Commodore-Monaro-Performance-Tail-Lights_W0QQitemZ4572623802QQcategoryZ29700QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem</a>
Rob
Forgot to add they cost £121.74 in total inc postage.
Paid on the credit card.

Pontiac appear to have a fix for their GTO's. I haven't managed to find out if Vauxhall have the same fix.
=== TSB #05-08-49-003 ===
Speedometer Erratic Movement, Fuel Gauge Does Not Go to Full After Filling, Engine Coolant Temperature Gauge Reads Hot and Coolant Temperature Light Illuminates (Reprogram IPC) #05-08-49-003 - (Jan 20, 2005)
2004 Pontiac GTO
Built Prior to VIN Breakpoint 4L296011
Condition
Some customers may comment on one or more of the following conditions:
• Speedometer jumps erratically. Gauge may go up to 200 MPH or not return to zero.
• Fuel gauge does not move off empty when tank is full.
• Engine coolant temperature gauge reads hot and coolant temperature light illuminates.
These conditions may be intermittent.
Correction
Technicians are to reprogram the IPC with an updated software calibration. This new service calibration was released with TIS satellite data update version 1.0 available January 10, 2005. As always, make sure your Tech 2® is updated with the latest software version.
Important: Vehicles built after the VIN breakpoint must have the IPC replaced to correct these conditions
