It's quite stiff at the moment

New car, new gearbox, very stiff when cold and hard to get into reverse until it's warmed for 30secs or so.

I would expect a heavy box & clutch 'cos after all it's an effing big engine but are they all like that?

Am I right in assuming it'll get better as the miles clock up?

It will get better with use. Mine used to be difficult to get into reverse, but its fine now. Took about 5000 miles if i recall.

Would get much better with a ripshifter though

Mine was a sod to get into 1st, hot or cold. Its as good as gold now though.
