Hi, as i am an owner of a HSV in England it is time to stand up and be counted!

My car is a GTS VTII (1999 V)in a cool shade of blue.

Only minor upgrades:
K&N filter
NGK plugs
Red line racing fluid in engine, gearbox and diff with friction modifier.

up till last week I had green stuff brake pads but they distorted the front disks which have been re-ground.

The back part of the exhaust has been replaced in stainless after a poor modification by the importer (yes mine too!)

Thats it for now,

PS. If anyone is at Goodwood race track mail me and I could pop over for a chat as I live just down the road.

good to have you aboard. My GTS is blue too - it has to be the best colour and you can't get it anymore. I tried those green pads and they suck, so do the discs - still, mustn't grumble

hi, apollo
just a bit of info! I have just recived a email from DBA the Australian brake company who are opening a branch in the uk in May.

They will have new discs at £149.00 each (slot/driled)
and two piece alloy units at £386.00 each all + vat

the contact is Tony Mason sales@dbadiscs.com

not sure on brake pads yet I will look into this.

Sounds good to me, all we need now is a cheap source of decent calipers to go with them.

I'm running EBC red stuff pads at the moment which are a massive improvement on the standard pads, but can be hard on the discs - no warping problems yet.

A few mods on the car now:-
Kaaz diff
Oil Surge protection tank on the engine
Cold Air Intake
Lightweight flywheel and sports clutch
Goodyear F1 GSD3 tyres in place of the original S02's

Thinking about improving brakes, suspension next on the list. More power is someway down the list, but will likely to come from a change in ecu and a head/cams package rather than a change to forced induction.

I was out at the weekend visiting friends in Waterlooville in Hampshire and was lucky enough to see a Black GTS with the registration of 'V8 HSV'

Later I found out the owner lives a few doors away from my friends, but I did not have a chance to meet him (or her)

If you are the owner and look at this please leave a message!
