Sorry folks, it's another 'bigging up Monkfish' post..

Just got back from Monkfish and despite the truly crap weather from the midlands downwards, I've just had probably the best drive home in years.

New headers, leccy zorst, big stoppers, poly bits to stiffen the front and a rather neat CAI install. Basically, the car has been transformed and is a good compromise for the s/c in my mind - but that's only for now...

It took over 5 hours just to go down (normally 3hrs) to pick it up due to the shocking weather and it wasn't much better on the way back but I just want to thank Roger & co for weaving their magic yet again and for installing yet another huge grin on me ugly mug! They never fail to deliver on service or quality. Thanks.

Roger - the AP's were well sorted by the time I got back home.. I didn't do anything drastic (honest)

I will only use Monkfish to look after my Maloo, always a great service and very helpful. But they do need to change the bush in the toilet,as it isn't looking very healthy.

My local dealership won't be seeing my car again for servicing after a recent 'problem' so despite the drive, Monkfish will be getting the custom instead.

I wasn't really 'apologising' as such, I just didn't want to bore you all with my gushings over the superb service etc!! And yes - you're all right, they do deserve the praise we heap on them.

Given the right traffic conditions..........maybe there are more customers within 40 minutes than you think!
Top speed = 170 MPH ish, 40 mins = 113 miles. Not a bad radius eh?
Must agree on service though, its good to go somewhere that doesn't have to open the Instruction Manual to sort a problem.

You are most certainly lucky mate, just punched in the address details from my address and the results were:

Distance: 212.4 miles

Time: 3 hr 42 min

Not good but I will be headed down to Monkfish when I finally get my VXR for a days worth of mods/adjustments.

When it comes to services I may have to stay local at the Darlington branch that has quite a decent setup with 2 fully trained enthusiasts, one of which has a VXR himself, so at least that is a bonus.

Well I have to say that the service at Monkfish tails off a bit if you become a regular customer.

Last visit I had to wait 10 minuites for a cup of tea. rolleyes

Am due Wednesday.

If they had decent customer service they would provide a car ferry to get me past Oxford (if it floods...)

Getting the Road Response kit and my avo's replaced so really looking forward to it, floods allowing.

Got a few cups at their old place. Too busy getting acquanted with the back pain inducing Audi A4 (those seats are too hard) to have a cuppa this time as I had to be back at work for mid-day.

When I first enquired about the Monaro, Roger sent me a very helpful email the very same day. He comes across as helpful, honest and his prices are keen. I'm hoping to pay him a visit when I'm down at the Pod for the Euro finals in September.

Another thumbup for Monkfish. Let us know how you get on at the Darlo dealer.

I chose Monkfish to do the last service for me rather than use the Monaro dealer at Middlesbrough again (now ex-Monaro dealer). Roger has also fitted a Road Response pack and Ripshifter as well as him and Paul sorting out a dodgy tune from a previous Monaro specialist.

I'd think hard before going any where else (and I've got further to go to get there than you )

I've heard a few good reports from that place now.

Maybe worth giving them a call for a chat if you need any warranty work/service or whatever sorting.

At the end of the day though it doesn't sound like you can beat the work of Monkfish for specialist jobs and overall quality of service.
