Never heard of CAPA? I've heard of Rotomotion!!!wink There was another Mazda shop in Guildford (the Perth kind) can't remember it's name.

Um that was Rotomotion! (not sure if you're being serious?)
Used to be owned by Kim (Father of Heath) Ledger who used to sponsor my race car. Recently moved to Maddington, now run by John Clements (who used to work for Kim)
I was being serious honest, I couldn't remember the name. I remember passing it on my way to work. It is 8 years since I lived in Perth but I have a memory like a selective Ox!!wink

Other than seeing the cars & knowing that CAPA sell loads of tuning mods. etc., I don't know anymore than I've said. Maybe they only produced the full cars for U.K import?
I think you are the money again, over here they would be badged as CAPA enhanced maybe. I haven't seen any. CAPA are quite well known as they produce a lot of supercharger kits and other performance parts. There is/was another bunch of cars built from Holdens called CSV's. They were more out there than HSV's (personal opinion here). Fairly rare nowadays.

Back to the original question, it would probably have all the mods that a lot of people do to their cars anyway, like the exhaust, tune, brakes, suspension etc so in effect would be equal or better than a HSV depending on which parts CAPA put on the car. I know that last statement will upset people, however in oppostion to that, its resale might not be as good as the HSV's. That would generally be the case in Oz.
Thinking about it though, I guess there are only a few CAPA's over there, so they might be more exclusive and thus hold their value, I don't really know.

Your last comment is spot on, it is your car to enjoy. Looks like they went to town on the interior. Did they put a cam in it?

Any pictures?

V6 6LEN is your car the Grey Storm Mica coloured one with Auto. box? I used to admire that at LSV as it is such a great Q car. Very stealthy compared to the GTS's.
The only other Holden/HSV/CAPA in the U.K that was the same colour as my last HSV,iirc. www.evo.co.uk/carreviews/evocarreviews/15579/hsv_gts_supercharger.html

The name Holden CAPA is directly akin to BMW Brabus etc. The CAPA name is recognised by DVLA, and as referred to above these cars are very extensively modified. Whilst they are registered as CAPAs, the Holden name is prefixed when they are referred to to give everyone a clue to their origination; CAPA is not a well known name whereas some people may have heard of Brabus. Before 'some' provokes a reaction, my wife beats me at Mastermind (OK, not difficult) but she wouldn't know what a Brabus was, nor would the majority of the population!

There are very few CAPAs around; we've got a couple for sale, and my wife drives one (so at least she's heard of CAPA). There's a highly modified CAPA for sale on the net; that's at least £80k of car when new/modified for £25k! I have a rather better one for sale but for a lot more money, plus a couple of unregisted 4-doors (old shape).

I think Glen's car is a beauty; an understated Q car that can show it's heels to the rather over-stated new 4-door.

I guess one Brabus Rocket would cost more than all the CAPAs in existence (at least at today's prices).

Its dead now unfortunately, but I have ended up with the shell as spare parts for my VX GTS.

Its a lovely thing and a real shame to have ended up like this.
