Its not hard G wink (as long as you don't drop a lifter in the sump)

just back from the small sprint track day, thrashed the pants off it all day never missed a beat, but still have oil temp problems ,and the brakes like to smoke abit to ,the rp runs as hot as mobil one and have to keep pulling off to let it cool down,so def got to sort a cooler out.morning runs came third to a new m3 and a merc cl 600 v12 both guys were better drivers than me.time difference about 1.2 seconds merc and 1.6 bmw and its only a small track .afternoon came away quickest but only as the to other guys had gone home .fun day for free as well, have a short video taken by the wife on my phone if i can figure out how to post it,is it the same as posting pictures ,

Well due to the unfortunate demise of MF, I am taking this on soon (RP oil and filter, so not rocket science)......any advice is welcome please?

Jacking up might be fun, I remember Roger saying jack each side on the sills but use a cut out block of wood so not to compress the lip on the sill. Is there a single point I can use? If so, I need to remove the plastic undercover.

Oil change is very easy , i jacked on the front brace where the drag links ? bolt in i think they are called that , tighten oil filter as much as possible by hand as i heard they are prone to leaking , the post above this keeping temps down run the car with the air on on , if it’s the same as the scooby it puts the air con fan on and runs a lot cooler , the r8 oil temp gauge appears totally inaccurate

Thanks...My mechanic at the local MOT centre (who helps with my cav mk2s) has offered to change the oil and filter at a bargain price so will let him do it. I am struggling for time with work and family it makes sense. The plan is to actually do this myself (when things calm down).

Well it went through the MOT, all my rotors are corroded on the inside, so not enough use I know I know.

How long are people getting from a set of APs rotors? I think I will either try to get them skimmed or buy the cheaper versions replacements shown on here and maintain the bell housing part as I just don't wear them out from use.
