Anyone got any tips on how to get it off?

Ive removed the 2 screws either side, removed the 3 screws from the top grill under the bonnet, and pull the edges out. Disconnected the fog lights.

Should it just pull forward now and off? Its really tight under the headlights, around the main/dipped beam area. Are there more clips around there?

I think the bumper has been off before as the 3 screws under the bonnet were blue locktighted in and i had to drill one of them out.

Thankyou

Trampy

Hello mate,

Underneath the number plate - as in the rescess where the mesh is not behind the number plate - there are a couple of bolts

I think you'll find a few more scrivet type screw clips vertical behind the number plate in the lower grill aperture

This is what i did the other week ...

3 Screws from by wheel arches, 3 screws under bonnet, take off those little plastic clips things that attach to bumper by the wheel arches.

Lay some bubble wrap or a sheet under the car bumper, gentle pull from both sides forward, check by the wheel arches that its moving okay, best with someone to help lift the other side. It will move forward a bit and if you look underneath the lights at the back edge there are some clips, just move the bumper around them you will see what to do.

There are 2 straps with screws in under the bumper as well.

As stupid as it sounds im still struggling. This is getting really annoying.

Got the 2 scrivets out and pulled the sides out, what else needs doing?

Also pulled the lower grill off, i just cant see or feel any other clips

Also if anyway is near derby that could help me pull it off that would be great

Thankyou

If the sides are free, check very carefully under the overhangs of the bumper intakes. Had similar with mine until I found a couple of scrivets hiding near the number plate.

I will post up some photos tomorrow to show how free the sides are.

I have removed the two number plate scrivets

So in theory it should pull forward but it wont. Its stuck around the headlights.

Is it easier with 2 people both pulling foward, one either side of the bumper or remove one side of the bumper at a time

You need to pull the sides out more further forward. Looks like the tabs are still engaged around the front corners of the fender.

Careful though. Breaking the tabs off isn't good news.

Assuming the scrivets are out from under the number plate area.
A bit more force may be required! Where the metal joins the plastic bumper under the headlight is a clip where it is now sticking.

When it has been undone once it is a lot easier to remove. You sort of need to slide the bumper with the palm of your hand under the headlight towards the back of the car. At the same time pull outwards from the wheelwell area. A bit of robustness might be needed here!! Be careful of your fingers near the headlight. It is a bit complicated to explain it. Make sure you put something on the ground underneath it beforehand. The clip is similar to the one near the intersection of the bumper, guard and wheelwell, only it is vertical.
