Anybody got an idea of the cost of upgrading from standard Gbox/Diff (non-hydratrac) to Cose ratio box & 3.7/3.9 diff??? I'm thinking 3.7 would be the best for mainly road use?

Thanks, i have got your e-mail allready, i'm going to look into it with a view to getting it done over the winter. From Westfield ownership one of the best ugrades is getting the Gearbox/Diff ratios sorted!

Fortunately, I had already sent the info to someone earlier on in the year so had it all nicely in an email smile

That's a good price if it includes fitting and new bushes. I paid around £1,200 for a 3.91.

Me too, Alex.

It's for a friend who was disappointed to find out that he has not my 3.7 diff! smile

It was £960 to rebuild the diff inc labour but not VAT

The CR box and diff was £2200 + VAT

Racing Green are doing a brand new Hydratrak 3.73:1 for £898.80 (including VAT & Surcharge)

Great VFM but i think you need to change your prop aswell if the car is not allready fitted with a Hydratrack diff?

I don't like Hydratrak.

I do like the idea of a 3.73 final drive though, the T350 would certainly benefit from it. Our previous Cerbera was 3.73 and it had masses more torque - it made us really wonder about the pace of the T initially, sure enough, it's there - but you really have to wring its neck with the standard 3.4 diff ratio!

John Read at Poulton will rebuild your existing diff or do an exchange for the ratio you want. Everyone uses him.
Close ratio box needs a minimum of 3:73 diff imho.
For me the best combo is standard box with 3:73 diff

Alex, not a criticism, but wondering why you offer to do things via PM rather than post on forum?

Noticed you did it for info about Diagnostics leads too.

+1 for Topcats who are an excellent setup and I can't recommend them enough! Warren has just put a 3.73 into mine and rebuilt the diff (+Nitrons). It's a hit all the way. Acceleration is much much quicker. Legal limits also now fit nicely into gears (it now pulls 30mph in4th and 40mph in 5th). On the motorway, it's a bit frenetic if you're going too fast so a good incentive to slow down.

Simple. In virtually all cases, people have had follow up questions. It's easier to answer them on email than here. Plus it's easier for me to quote figures I don't get held to later, which happened once in my past irked

I don't make that mistake again

Do you run a garage? Why would people hold you to figures?

Doing things via email almost defeats the point of a forum.

Agreed. If someone asks me how much something costs I'll tell them, no skin off my nose. The only time I'd go 'private' is when it comes to naming and shaming.
