Bob, I don't have Brendans rear lights. I'd already bought some plastic LED's from SVC. I have seen pics of Brendans on another thread somewhere, I think posted by Alex Grey. Inner circle red, middle circle orange and outer circle red, with red being both tail and stop in an aluminium housing. I don't see why they wouldn't fit a Tamora though. All the TVR's from Tamora on use the same Hella rear lamps as far as I know. Unless it's about the colours?
Chris i think it's to do with making them water tight as they're directly exposed to the elements on the Tam - great colour choice by the way, I can't wait for mine to get the Brendan treatment.

Ah, That would make sense. Still, if you wanted to go that route, you could seal them yourself. You could use easy run silicone to seal the front face. You paint it on and it smoothes itself over (like honey) to leave a clear silicone film, a bit like on the badges.

Aubrey, thanks very much for the offer. I'm not sure it it will fit. Is there any chance you could measure the muffler dimensions for me? The exhaust box area is tight because of the roof having to fit into the boot.

Natben, on a tamora there is a gutter under the boot like a normal car, and this drains down some big tubes down into the rear wheel well. here is a picute of the LHS.

I'm not sure if this thread needs to keep going now as the conversion is basically finished, but I'm still working on the car, so....

I have to travel overseas a lot for work I spent the little time I had with the car on Saturday morning sorting a few bits and bobs. Sorted out the door window alignment on both sides so they now seal against the roof and pillars. Repaired the door wiring when a pin had corroded so now the passenger door can open from outside. Afixed the badges (rear is a mock up) and the front numberplate. What a b!yatch over a double compound curve! Then gave it it's first bath (looks good in white!) and took some more pics.

Thanks Chrispap for taking the time to explain where the water drained to.

The car looks superb, well done.

I've never been one for Sagaris spoilers on T350's but with that long flat boot and less of an upturn at the tip i keep pondering what it would look like??
I suppose the rear diffuser negates any uplift on the rear like found on the Griff although i always questioned how effective the diffuser was without a flat bottom on the car!
I bet a convertable T350 would of been a popular choice as would a targa Sagaris{full opening}smile
Thanks for posting the pictures

My gal is back with Brendan next week for the next stage of finishing up some work from last year. One of the things he will be doing is finishing up the LED light work. I'll post the details when it is finished.

I'll be installing the T350 cheese grater. It just doesn't currently fit on with the Tamora exhaust box I have. Need to sort out a T350 sports exhaust, or fabricate something.
Spotted in the classifieds - http://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/parts-and-p...

Caveat emptor - no link to seller, etc etc

I got it with the car. Not sure who makes it but I've seen it on other cars, Griffs I think.....

On a Sag it looks great but I really don't like that spoiler on a 350. For a start I've never seen one fit properly. Secondly it looks like a massive air brake and it must make some noise at speed (with the roof down). Lastly it must make boot access even more awkward. This car has the same ducks tail bum as a standard 350. It's just that the glass hatch is replaced. I know it's a subtle shape but this pic shows the detail of it.

I don't believe the 'diffuser' of the tam or 350 are anything more than a styling exercise, so don't expect any downforce or even lift negation from them. You'd need more than a couple of small bolts to attach them otherwise! You don't need a flat bottom to make a diffuser work, but you do need a few specific flow paths and shapes, none of which exist on these cars.

Fully open targa sagaris- now you're talking! The next project? smile

Very good point! It'll have to wait as I'm in Spain for work this week, a very busy week back and then away all March, but I will try to get the exhaust sorted, diffuser on, and then get some roof down pics- hopefully with the sun out!

Thanks Podie, but looking at that, it looks just like the Tamora box and that won't fit.
I'm going to need a sports exhaust box and some fabrication! I just missed a 'power' exhaust a month ago because while the car was away I couldn't measure if it would fit. In retrospect looks like it would have-gutted! I could have been done by now!

Ive still got my standard t305 exhaust sitting around. I was taken off the car after 8,000 miles. Its from a late 2005 t350c. Might be of interest and I'll sell at a decent price, otherwise its going on the classifieds soon.

The end of the thread? Roof off pictures!

Thanks to all for help, encouragement, ideas and ridicule! The car is now nearing completion with just a few jobs to do to tidy it up and sort out the things the factory didn't! Currently waiting for a new diffuser panel (will be body colour) and some different exhaust tips.

The car made it's first TVR meet (and mine) at Chatsworth last weekend and here are some pictures for anyone not there.

In the first two it's a dramatic before and after with a Tam alongside in exactly the same shape and colour combo as my car originally was.

After all the deliberation I am very pleased with Chameleon Green, and even more so after seeing every other colour on display at Chatworth.

Hi Chris, I was parked just in front of you. Your car looked very well. The whole conversion seemed to flow naturally and the colour was great. Well done! Jonathan

I have to say this looks fabulous Chris.

Annoyed I didn't spot it at Chatsworth so I could have had a closer look grumpy
