Hi Chris, how's the project going? Any more pictures of the car?

Quick question, where did you find it? Was it a private sale? I'm looking for a tuscan to bring back from the grave, either as a Tuscan with all my favourite parts from both versions or as a Sagaris conversion.

The ones I've found from TVR Glen/Dean have been repaired and I've been warned off there repair jobs by someone we both know!

Hi m3,

nothing new lately. I'm overseas for work but I think the car has had a bit of finishing work lately but no real visual changes.

I found the car advertised on here actually. Bought it from TVR Dean. I have been told (and seen in his extensive yard) that he basically has the damaged car/donor car market sewn up.

I've not seen a finished repair job by them and so wouldn't like to comment of the quality or otherwise of the finished job.

Rebuilding a car from cat D to your exact spec is more expensive in my case than just buying a regular car, and that's before you consider the ridiculous cat D stigma in this country and it's effect on resale value etc. But if it's a car that you can't buy (like a T350 Spider), or you're going to keep for years and enjoy, then you pay what you can to get what you want.

Yeah I get the idea they are the only ones really doing salvage! Good on them for saving every car in my opinion regardless of opinions on repairs! Until I see them I can't comment!

My idea is to find a Tuscan to be a keeper so Cat C/D won't be an issue! Just don't know if I want to keep it as a Tuscan or a Targaris, my mind changes every other day!

Looking forward to seeing more of your car when your back and it's completed!

Hi Guys,

Well, it's home!
Not looking too different to the last time, except it's back with me. Done a bit of tidying up already, and am working on the light installation so I can get it MOT'd in order to drive to paint.

Don, I thought there might be a limit to how much I could change the tamora/T350 before I got lynched! But I think it does remain an option if I can figure out what to do with the reflector? I'll look at it some more now that the car is back and I can look at the real thing.

Zippee, I can get one tomorrow. It's a bit dark out there now! smile

Now imagine this car with a 3.6 that revs to 9000 and has 400 bhp?

That would be the perfect little English sportscar for me for when I can escape te family. smile

Cheers for the positive comments guys. Obviously there's a hat tip to TVR for the original style and to plasticman for taking the project on.

NRS, not really decided on colour yet. Shortlist of:

  • Halcyon Atlantis Blue (if I can get it with a nice metallic flake)
  • Chameleon Green (if I can find the extra cash, and decide if it's more aqua than gree)
  • Lotus Laser Blue- or one of the nice aqua/turquoise/blue's that's coming on new ford/pug/hyundais
  • Spectraflair Blue or Silver
Got the whole thing cleaned up now and all the rear lights installed and working. Slotted the radiator in and I've bought a silicone hose kit but now realise I have no idea where they all go, and I'm must be missing some joiner tubes that are present on the T350...

Really wish you had not started this project as prior to following this and meeting Dave @ Poole i thought i had my dream garage!!!
I know realise i need a Tam with a Sag front end a 350 rear with slightly rolled arches all being pushed along by a bp 4.3 on straight through pipes!
Now all i need is more garage space and another ingenious excuse as to why the family needs a fourth TVR biggrin Simples
Forgot to say my nod goes to Chamelion Green which i'm liking more and more especially on T cars.

Christian, it would have to have the Jason 'special' - supercharged - if you've got the cash, just spend it m8 !!

He told me he will not build another one frown but i think i would keep it NA for the track!
If i'm putting a charger on anything its the LS as thats just mad to begin with so might as well continue with that theme smile
On a serious note after owning and thrashing nearly every variation of engine config TVR produced incl RV8's i must say i have fallen very much in love with the SP6 especially when de-catted with a set of loud pipes cloud9
It does not have anywhere near the low down grunt of the AJP or LS but i love the way it hunts the revs and once its screaming its just electric!
Had the good fortune to run next to a 1957 Ferrari F1 car in the 350 last month and the noises they where both making on the overrun where just epic.
Am seriously tempted by a 4.3 special for the 350 but have the race AJP saying go on you know you want to! just phone APM and get me that 4.7 makeover!
Decisions,Decisions
Are you ready for DN6 and Spa?
Back to the Op car, have you decided on a colour? Are you colour coding inside the front light pods?
Have also been thinking it would look very classy in Reflex Charcoal with the dark hood!
Love these projects
