Flasher is selling?
Discussion
Put your toys back in the pram ddrinks, I just didn't like being called a hypocrite.... I still might keep the car and I still love it, but that will mean me getting lumped by the taxman. If I have a company car it stays, if I don't it has to go....
Lee, cant afford a 996 although I would love one.. drove a Boxster S today and was very impressed but the legroom was pretty poor for a 6ft tall bloke...
500SL.....Mmmmmmm will try that next...

Flasher, why not take out a personal lease on a car with full maintenance package, that falls within the amount you will receive as a car allowance?
That way, all your business motoring expenses, (including road tax, servicing, tyres etc.), would effectively be paid by your employers, and the tax man doesn't get much of a look in either, as the company aren't directly supplying the vehicle!
That would then allow you to keep the Tamora for some weekend fun, by way of compensation.

SL500 is from £68K... not exactly a bargain! Nice motor though
I meant an old shape one for about £30K.....If I had £68k I would keep the Tamora.....

Yeah, that sounds more feasible, I will look into it, the more I look at the car the less I want to sell it...

enjoy it and sod the mileage - you only live once.
I have and it's the fact that it's done 9500 already that is scaring me....
I must stress that I don't really want to sell it but had decided that I didn't want to pay loads of tax on my company hack and fuel card.
But f**k it eh? I love the car and can afford it so I may as well keep it. I might PX it for a nice Tuscan later in the year instead.....
Phew.....You nearly lost me guys....
Well, unlucky.. I'm here to stay..
Oh a similar and related issue - did anyone know what the emissions on a TVR are for company car tax purposes?
most information is not available, but from the SMMT web site (http://195.167.170.192/co2search.asp) the Cerbera SP6 comes in at a whopping 372.... nice, try running one of those as a company car...
So, Andy stick with the Focus TDCI at 142 - you know it makes sense....
Anyone running a TVR as a company car???
Cheers,
Paul
