Ah, thanks. Mid point of the number plate lights (and in the same plane as them), I'm guessing?
Yes, dead centre of the number plate area.ray von said:

Yes, dead centre of the number plate area. Thanks everyone. I think I was expecting the answer to be "push the Sagaris badge" although that feels like it would be a little low to be comfortable. Under the number plate is still quite low and must be prone to giving you dirty hands but it's a far easier solution to engineer so that's probably what I'm going with. Either way, I'm going to wire a RF momentary switch in parallel to give that option.

I had my Tuscan's boot release moved from behind the badge to between the numberplate lights. Far easier than wiggling the badge around for thirty seconds waiting for it to catch the button!
Had the same done on my old T350 so I could have the solid metal chrome plated T350 badge fitted to replace the sh*te plastic one that oxidises and eventually looks crap.L1OFF said:

I'd be interested to know what you're using for this as I have a project which requires a RF momentary switch (not car related).
Maplin do a very nice 2 channel remote for about £30.alex_gray255 said:
Could always fit an automatic boot opener with a button and remote.
Plenty of AF systems around to do that.
Did look at this Alex. I could only find systems that added springs to the gas struts and given they're visible through the glass, it would give a somewhat cheap pogo stick look to it. Unless you've seen anything better? I've got automatic opening and closing on my f*rd in nice self contained struts but not sure they're available anywhere.Plenty of AF systems around to do that.

Try AutoLoc - a US based company. I was looking at their site last night for a few things of interest and noticed they hadsome units might work well on rear glass hatches.
Or I might know a company that can make them up - but would need to follow up on that separately.
