Gaz gold pro reliability
Discussion
I have just bought a T350 and it is running original Harvey Bailey dampers that are past their best. Looking to replace with Gaz gold pro coil overs or even Bilstein dampers. I have a number of questions:
Are Gaz dampers now more reliable are there seemed to be a lot problems with failures in the past?
Has anyone fitted Tuscan S dampers on a t350 with the dark blue springs on the rear?
Do the billies still result in too soft a set up being 200 on the front and 285 on the back with Tuscan?
Car will be used the road only.
I know elements of the above have been done before but it would be interesting to hear if anyone has been in the same dilemma.

I had Gaz Gold,s on the T350 when I bought it and hated the ride, tried all sorts settings either too harsh or too soft, I was advised by my local TVR dealer to try Gaz Montubes as he had been testing them and I must say really impressed for both road and track and build quality is far better
P.S.
I have a Cerb with Nitrons on and a Griff with AST,s on and I rate them very good but the Gaz Monotubes are just a bit in front

My TVR guy Mat Smith rates the Gaz Monos and has them on his own Chimaera. I have Billy No Brakes' old Gaz Gold Pros on my Chimaera and love them (after swapping the tails to Chjm ones - they aren't a direct fit from a T350) - they seem to suit the car, but I echo what Phazed says - all the adjustment is in 4 of the 20 clicks. The adjustment on the Monos is loads of clicks over the area that is the four central clicks on the GGPs, so they are far more adjustable.
I think Phazed is referring to the 46mm Nitrons with his warning - are you?

I'm selling a full set of 2013 Gaz Gold Pro's that came off my T350, they have only done c.3000 miles and are very reliable and well set up. I only got rid of them because I swapped to Nitrons. If you would like to buy them off me PM me!
I know I'm biased but they were very very good and really were an improvement over the old Gaz nickels when i fitted them.

GGP have 10 clicks these days.
Eibach with Bilsteins looked to be in Nitron territory whem I enquired, and won't be adjustable.
Since my GGPs have settled in, all I've needed to do has been to adjust the ride height to avoid the rear bump stops and arched being in play over B road bumps at 55+. 3 fingers from tyre top to wheel arch rear, 2.5 front. No more scraping and enough spring play to allow the weight to shift backwards progressively from rest and keep everything in contact with the tarmac over bumpy lanes. No amount of clicking had anywhere near the effect of the ride height adjustment.
