Having just bought my Merc from a decidedly less than professional second hand car dealership, I'd personally stay well away. As I experienced, a verbal warranty is worth nothing - just weeks of being fobbed off and possibly even aggressive behaviour when you try to resolve the situation. There are some professional second hand car dealerships, where I bought my Skoda from, that will provide you with a proper warranty booklet from a credible company.
