I saw a post a while back where someone disabled the power steering by removing the relay. Have many people done this as I like the idea of a bit more feel of the road. I don't do much slow speed maneuvers so wouldn't mind it being heavy at slow speeds... Any down sides, i guess if not used the power steering is more likely to fail over a period of time?
Anyone done this or have any thoughts?

I imagine on a t car the steering will load up a ton when you least expect it. I.e. you be slowing down to enter a car park/petrol station, as you turn in there is a bump/seam, which pulls the wheel off your hand and turns you the other way onto an imovable or squishy object. My elise with its skinny front tires liked doing this to me... almost got me.
