I'm thinking about giving my 4.5 Super Sport Tuscan Convertible away FREE since it's obviously worth nothing I guess I'll have to pay someone to take my Chimaera away .Edited by glow worm on Wednesday 3rd August 19:57
It's a funny market and at 75-80k they really are into the realms of - I could buy a very nice "x" and have change. They are not "that " special (IMO).
I think cars will change hands for 55k in the trade. Are they nice cars, or will they make nice cars?
The difference is 20k, and some cars that have had fresh paint, trim and and engine rebuild are still rough in other areas.
Certainly seem to be on they way up and they seem to be dragging other values along with them.
When I bought our last Sagaris, top money cars were early 50s, thing is, they weren't mint cars but they sold.
Odd market. Nice? Usable cars could be 100k in 3 years time, they could be 55k, who knows. My money will stay in my pocket

For what it's worth, I think they will continue to go up in value.
If I really wanted to pull a wad of cash out and buy a TVR it would be a fully and correctly built 1960s V8 car (that would leave no change from 85k)
Hope you're enjoying your Sag.

I suspect the asking price and what they really sell for are very different, I've been offered 3 Sags for £50,000 privately.
I find that very difficult to believe unless they are poor examples TVRMs said:

I beg to differ about their 'specialness'. Nice? Usable cars could be 100k in 3 years time, they could be 55k, who knows.

Last year I bought an F430 because I had always, always wanted a Ferrari. Honestly, I prefer my Sagaris. Perhaps I'm mad but it feels more special to me. I understand the prestige of a Ferrari and it was a big part of the motivator for buying one but .....the Sag just gives me a fizz no other car I've owned ever has.
I suspect I'm in the minority though.
Anyway, I'm off to Europe on Friday to drive the wheels off it.
Did the Ferrai thing 30 years ago, suspect the've moved on since then LOL.
Out first Sag gathered dust for three years after I bought my race car, the second Sag I bought as an every day car - mistake. The last one, an absolute mint car, we did a thousand miles in over 3 years.
Ducatis, TVR race car and a very capable Tamora were always preferred methods of fun transport.
Enjoy the Euro Tarmac
I'm sure you will and I'm sure the sag will turn heads.

I loved my New Sagaris it's looks alone make it worth good money but as a every day car it was a nightmare, air con crap and it leaked water in foot wells, wind noise was terrible and anything but a nice smooth road it was as twitchy as hell, it never went as quick as it looked and the gear knob could burn the skin off your fingers, fuel gauge was useless and error faults every 5 minutes, lights were useless at night until you used high beam and mine had the fancy expensive gas flow ones, it would also bottom out everywhere.
I did love the bugger but for £50,000+ so many many other cars that are just as nice and easier to live with.

It's much easier to forgive a toy that pisses you off occasionally than an every day car that does it every day. I did love the bugger but for £50,000+ so many many other cars that are just as nice and easier to live with.
Yes. As an everyday proposition it would lose it's appeal for sure. Same with the Ferrari I suspect. Both were/are pure toys.
I guess it depends also on where you enter the market. If you've previously had a Sag from new at £50k, one at £75k+ would seem a bit mad, especially when they got mid £30's years ago.
TVRM's, thanks. Definitely going to have some fun. Also, you've owned a lot of serious metal I see !! Love it.

I have other toys inc a scud, diablo sv and 964 turbo yet none of them come close to my Sag when it comes to sheer excitement! For what it's worth, I think they will continue to go up in value.

There are a few of us that go out regularly on a Sunday and the roads we use are mainly single track roads with no margin for error and this is where the Sag come to life, its a go kart on steroids :-)
