A Sag owner will never pine to own a T350. But the opposite is, if we are being really honest, likely to be true.

For the road a Sagaris is not much faster and doesn't handle appreciably better - on the track a Sag would have the edge but not by much.

If I could afford a Sagaris would I have one - yes.
Indeed. Pretty much what I was intimating. yes

It would be like dating Dannii Minogue. You'd consider yourself a lucky person, and probably be very happy and the envy of many, but you'd always secretly know you'd rather be with Kylie. smile

Another factor for the higher price for a Sag, is that, it appeals to people outside of the TVR community... most TVR's don't...

Thanks all. The replies have been fantastic and really has helped myna thinking around this. This is a great forum. Esp for a noob like me!

Love the humour and totally relate to what everyone is saying. Danni minogue totally sums it up for me. 😂😂😂

Having said that if I were ever to have a chance to go with a danni I would count myself lucky!

I think someone touched on it earlier but are running costs different or Similar for both?

I'm guessing you're a T350 owner.

Agree that the 911 driving dynamics and Boxster are more different but as with most of these things, it is about perception. A Sag owner will never pine to own a T350. But the opposite is, if we are being really honest, likely to be true.
I hope Sagaris owners as a rule are more modest than you.

I personally wouldn't spend another 30k on a car with no Targa panels, a poorer exhaust note, and uglier exterior, but then that's just me.

If I had 70k I'd be hankering for a 355. biggrin

Wasn't meant to come across like that - more a response to another posters comments.

But re your view on the Sag, I'd say you would be in the minority. For me, the perfect two car TVR garage would be a Sag and a Griffith (grey exterior, red interior).

Quite possibly. Narrowing down to two would be tricky, Tuscan 2S and a 4.5 Cerb for me - really miss my Cerbs.

Cost of tyres should really be the only difference, other than that, from a servicing perspective, its the same car.

An unscrupulous dealer may hit you with "Sagaris Tax"

thanks - seems like its the t350 then. Seems more of a cost effective and more sensible option.

Now - the question is what do I look for with a budget of around 35k!

If you are buying with your head, then I definitely agree. yes

Sagaris prices are frankly rather crazy, and it is hard to justify the extra money on purely objective grounds.

Given the gulf in price between the T350 and Sagaris, and the fact that they are so similar (the Sagaris being essentially an evolution of the T350), I'm surprised there aren't more instances of a re-bodied T350 pretending to be a Sagaris. Perhaps even with the price difference it's not economically viable but if the gulf gets much bigger I can see there being a real temptation for people to do it.
