The factory is listening now!
Discussion
I think its great that we have a conduit into the factory, but am I the only one who thinks its still a sad reflection of the attitude of the factory that the best (only?) way to get the factory (and I guess I mean PW here) to listen to something is via the daughter of the chief tester?
Don't get me wrong - I think its great that we're seeing results and I'm not in any way detracting from Claire's efforts or anything.

Lance,
Well I have been calling the factory everyday this week about the seatbelt issue and so far have had no callbacks despite many promises from the customer service dept.
I spoke with the vehicle inspectorate on Wednesday and the process for forcing a safety recall seems pretty straightforward provided there is a valid case, so this will be my next step from Monday if nothing happens today. If you try and do things nicely with them you seem to get nowhere so its time to force the issue.

frostie - I belive the factory have been intouch with you several times this week.
Can you confirm this...?
Not the person who they said would !
My point of contact has ( customer service ) but not the person who can give me a status. All I want to know is if they are to, or even intend to, rectify this potentially lethal issue. If I get no responses then I will get it sorted by other means.

Frostie, my dealer assured me that the Factory are working on a modification to the seatbelt mechanism. My car's going back for some minor work a week Monday so I'll be asking questions if it's not yet available!
They're also supposed to be working on a mod for the cabin getting hot but that's a different issue.
