Sagaris Cooling Fans

The cooling fans on my Sagaris have stopped working.
Having read the previous discussions
I have checked the relays and the fuses.
I have disconnected the temp sensor under the air intake housing and nothing happens.
Looking at the connectors they are corroded so I have cut the cables to put new IP67 connectors on.
But before doing so I have put a multimeter on the bare cables turned the ignition on with the temp sensor still disconnected but don't get any reading. Does anyone have any thoughts on what is wrong or am I doing something wrong/missing something? help needed please.

I found on the Tamora that the cooling fans don't run until the engine is actually running.

Thanks for the note Nick, you are right all ok with new connectors once the engine was running.
