Portsmouth to Caen ferry. Sag front end ground clearance on the ramps, any bad experiences?

My Tamora was fine as was the organiser's Sag on the trip to Santander.

My Sag is fine on top and bottom of Eurotunnel too.

If you have adjustable suspension, was it set low?

My T350 was fine, I imagine similar ground clearance.

Thanks guys, good to know. Mine's an April 05 Sag, I seem to recall the set up was lower on the earlier Sags. They then heightened them slightly on later models to prevent them bottoming out.

Always found the Brittany staff helpful when loading our TVRs.

If needed, they'll throw down some timber dunnage to ease the angle between the ship's ramp and the dock road. Approach the ramp at an angle so that one front wheel rises onto the ship at a time.

Thanks Nick, really helpful.

Should be a busy weekend for them as plenty of TVRs going over for Le Mans classic I imagine.

Took my Sag from Scotland to Ireland ('05 model) - was very close on the ramps, the alternative is to reverse it on.. gives a little more clearance iirc

No problems with my Sag on either Brittany Ferries or Eurotunnel in 12 years thanks to both organisations careful staff.

Relax!

Some dealers lowered the cars to make them look better. Same with T350’s. If you think you might hit bodywork then go at an angle over the bump as this helps.
