Amazed at the speed of your progress. Can't find a 'doffs me cap' smilie but this thread deserves it smile

The powder coating in the pictures looks good, are you pleased with the quality?

Car has had to take a back seat for the last couple of weeks as my Dad has been in hospital. Have a day off today ,all going well should get it finished today.

Yes the chassis looks good to my untrained eye , well pleased with it .Seems a shame to drive it and make it dirty . Will be giving Mat Smith a ring to get the suspension geo set up next month, as every one says how good he is .

At most it's probably a 2hr drive and cheaper than taking it Needham Market.

Had a good day today . Moved the peddle box forward which turned out to be a straight forward job ,redrilled the floor and filled in the old holes .

Next up was to bleed the brakes with the help of Mr Eezibleed , after driving out of the garage the pedal didn't feel great , so going to have another go at that .

Next job was finish the interior ,made a plate up to go around the gear lever gaiter rather than a load of sealant. .

Thought everything was done , only to find the power steering wasn't working , checked the earth cable and the block connector . Turned out this was the culprit , it hadn't blown just broken in two.

So that is it for my little project , thank you for following my work and the positive comments that have been made .Looking forward to summer now so I can get out and drive it . If any one takes on this job I hope you find this thread helpful .

Well done.
Amazing pictures and useful descriptions, many people in the future will be grateful.

You did achieve it super quick. Makes my project look lethargic.

Great job, you must be really pleased with the result.

To echo Dunc's comments above - at some point I'm sure more than one person is going to be incredibly grateful for the documentation you've provided, it's an invaluable guide for others. Thanks for taking the time and putting it out there for people

Thanks for sharing
I'm thinking of doing the same to my Tamora but not till end of this year.
I might move the pedal box back soon as I can never quite get seat position/pedal position/steering wheel position to my liking.

Thank's for your comments, makes it worthwhile spending the time to write it up .

Moving the pedals, although it seems only by a small amount has made for a much more comfortable driving position. As long as you have no difficulty in getting the bolts undone it is a relatively quick / easy job. If you do your Tamora good luck with it and I hope it gives you as much satisfaction as it has me. Hopefully my thread may be of some use to you along the way.

Final job of the rebuild done today courtesy of Mat Smith at Downham Market , what a great guy he is , as well as being very knowledgeable about all things TVR. The car now drives better than it has done since I purchased it . He also gave the car a good look over , apart from too much travel on the clutch pedal all seemed good .

Mat couldn't push the point enough on how important it is having the suspension set up correctly to get the best out of these cars Big thank's to Mat . The car is now ready to drive and enjoy .

So you're the reason he wasn't answering yesterday wink

Glad you're happy with the work, if suspension works well on some of the fen roads round there it'll work well anywhere.

Out of interest roughly how many hours do you think you spent doing all the work

Hi Daniel , I really couldn't say how many hours , I did say to my wife I should keep a log but never did . It was fitted in around work and family life , so some days if i got home from work early it could be 2-3 hours other days didn't get to do anything at all ,same for the weekends . Although I did not have a target date, I was quite pleased with myself for getting it done in less than three months . Sorry I can't be more specific.

Someone pointed me to this thread. So useful. I’m thinking of taking the body off my Tuscan and this gives me more confidence in getting it done!
