So... realised that the reverse light on the Tamora wasn't working. Bulb all ok but no voltage there when reverse selected. Found switch under the gear lever and was a bit confused...
The 'arm' that presses the switch rotates with the gear level if you twist the gear knob. So it doesn't reliably activate the switch unless you twist the knob clockwise slightly to apply pressure to the switch when you select reverse. And it means you can also activate the reverse light quite easily in 4th.
Video of activating switch when in 4th and then when properly in reverse below (hopefully):

Found a couple of posts on here where people said their reverse lights were a bit random and illuminated whilst driving (presumably because of this).
Is this rotation of the gear stick normal or is it something broken/worn?
"Adjusting" the switch doesn't seem like it'll help. Is the clockwise twist just a new T-driving skill I'll have to master?

Very difficult to explain on here but you have to get it just right. It does work fine once adjusted correctly. Make sure you have no ‘slop’ in the gear lever. On mine there’s a grub screw on the selector housing that you can get to and hopefully take up any slack.

Edit. Just watched video. Way too much slack on that selector. Grub screw (Allen key in mine) should be central in the selector towards the rear of the car.

Ahh great, thanks STE VR. I'll have a look at tightening that tomorrow. Saw the grub screw. Didn't want to go fiddling unnecessarily. Hopefully that'll help stop the rotation and can then get the switch adjusted to work more reliably.

Managed to loosen the gear stick grub screw, centralise the stick and arm for the reverse switch and relock it in place by retightening the grub screw. Reverse Light works perfectly again now. I must have loosened the stick when undoing the gear knob from the top.
Thanks again to STE VR.

So the T5WC integrated reverse light switch is ignored in the Tamora, any idea why?
