I'm trying to sort a T350 who's orange and red shift lights flash repeatedly after the start up sequence finishes.

Has anyone seen this before or can point me to things to check?

My first thought would be to check what RPM they have been programmed to come on at. Just maybe the value has become corrupted and the software can't handle it.

Good suggestion. Looking closer and I don't know if its significant, but the 2 lights are blinking before the normal start-up sequence as well as after. If the RPM setting are correct a phone call to Paul Smith may save you a lot of time.

Adrian it was a dash ECU fault - sorted by Python racing.

Yes, and thanks... I had the dash in with Paul Smith...I had him change the the dash fan (100% duty cycle) and dash link ribbon cable (for the sake off) along with a new front screen and the LED diffusers sorted (both needles needed to be reset to zero, having been off).
I changed the ECU battery, main ribbon cables from the ECU and dallas chip (nowhere in 19 years history could I see these had been changed) and renewed the earth bolt in the passenger foot-well adding several anti-rattle washers as the just cleaning did not 'work'.
Since it has been back in, I've added the diode to the alternator cable, coil pack (OE and crushed against the block) changed all the sensors (for the sake of) and both fan connections in the nose (as I had a MBEtool throwing a water temp fault even though the sender was new) but the car was not showing any fault (at some point previously, the connectors had the male part cleaned and put back together). I had tested the connections as I changed the temp sensor, with the fans on full and one of the connectors was getting hot! (my thoughts was that resistance was giving me the fault, as it has cleared since the plugs have been changed).
I am still looking for waterproof replacement connectors to take 3.5mm cable (3mm plus 0.5mm feed to relays) to add a twin half speed system for the fans, BUT, having had most of the trimming done Joolz (my better half) is now insisting I let her drive it! A@
