Seems to work to a point but just wondered how often it should be regassed? Any other service maintenance required? Thanks for any pointers.

Over 10 years of ownership mine was regassed only once when my engine was rebuilt. Ice cold at all times smile

Same with me. Regassed in 2011 it’s still working good. However, I had planned to give it a service this year.

Thanks for the replies - especially to Mr Non_linear for the link.

Sorry to be a numpty (the original photos on the Graham Varley post are now missing) but what is the 'flap zero' setting and how does one access this?

Ok, I realise now, it's the dash display, no. 8 Factory Settings. Need to investigate...

Just got around to checking mine. Flap zero was at factory setting of 16.
Have adjusted to 24 now and will see how that goes. Long drive (100 miles anyway) on Tuesday this week, so I’ll see how the aircon performs.

I had to open the aircon/ heater box.

The design is already special. The fans blow from the fender through two openings into the first area. The air in this area is cooled by the air conditioning evaporator, if necessary. The heater flap then controls whether the air reaches the second area next door, which is heated by the heat exchanger. By opening the window to the second area, it simultaneously closes the window to the evaporator. The section between the first and second sections is not straight and is partially uneven. Both on the flap and on the edges is foam, which should seal this. I removed the old foam and glued new foam one. I did not get it 100% tight.

By the way, there are also separate water drains for both areas. So there must be a hose that comes out above the battery, a second hose going through the fender comes out near the battery.
