'That coming from a bloke who owns a Taimar....hardly a stunner itself mate...'

But he likes it as much as you like yours... Last I heard, personal opinions are still allowed in this country - or have NuLab's social engineers banned those too?

I never said it wasn't OK to have an opinion but I'm a bit sick and tired of reading the same old negative comments from the same old negative people. You have never had anything good to say about the Tamora either and it gets tiresome after a while.

I was just trying to point out that I don't particulaly like some of the older TVR's but I don't go on the forums for them and start slagging them off mainly because it's someones pride and joy and it pisses them off.

Sorry to disappoint you, but if you have a go at my car and don't have the decency to put IMO after it, then I'm going to have a go back.

Have any of you Tamora chaps / chapesses researched the possibility of a 'sticker' front number plate just under the bonnet badge? The front end looks loads better 'mouth open' minus a conventional front plate.

IMHO this 'facelift' is a waste of time - TVR should have taken the oportunity for some radical cosmetic changes which is what, in general, the potential TVR buyers seem to want. After all, apart from the (straightline) performance the stunning looks of previous models has always been their major attraction/selling point - however I still feel with the Tamora it's cosmetics let it down. All IMHO of course....

And of course people are allowed their own opinions - little point in having a thread titled 'Tamora Facelift' if the 'Tamora Forum Censors' only allow comments from one side of the debate (but hey what do I know, I'm just a TVR defector)

I agree that the facelift is a waste of time. IMHO, however, the Griffith, and to a lesser extent, the Chimaera, look old-fashioned, and dated. I felt this first, on the day I collected my Tamora from Harrogate, and saw my old Chimaera sitting in the showroom - it suddenly struck me that it looked dated.

The Griff, again, IMHO, has an attractive front end, nice cabin in a trad. Brit. sports car way, but has an ugly, inadequate rear end. Does this sound somehow familiar?!

To be honest, the Tamora isn't a beautiful car - but neither is the Pagani Zonda, new Lambo, Elise, Mini, and many other current cars. Ugliness is "in" with car designers - look at the new Megane/Avantime.

However, the Tamora is a brilliant sports car, and the minor cosmetic glitches are more than compensated for in the speed, handling, RELIABILITY, and traditional TVR grin factor. I don't care, I love it, and the sheer pleasure of driving it is consistent and undeniable.

Who cares what the Tamora, or any of the other TVRs, look like? It's how it drives and handles that matters. I'd still drive my Griff even if it looked like a new Mini. (That was a joke!!)

Just my attempt at bringing peace and harmony to the thread.

Don't go there if you're going to change your mind in 10 years' time though - the "sticker" numberplates are a pain to get off. No, let me qualify that - they're an absolute b*gger to get off.

Don't forget to add how grrrreattt all of the TVRs sounds - from the oldest to the newest - all unique and gorgeous. Looks etc - "eye of the beholder" etc. . . but they will NEVER be as bland as Boxsters etc . . .

Regarding stick on number plates? Yours looks great!

You never know what you might find underneath!
I may put one on mine - to hold the GRP together as I bumped it!

You'll never see underneath again, mate!! Mine has had the sticky on since new, what little I saw underneath wasn't even discolored - very impressed with TVR paint job, I must say.
