Just had my insurance renewal come through and it has jumped 300% (£390 to £1,180) but there has been no change my side (still north or 10 years ownership of a standard Tamora, 10 years no claims, secure parking etc....)

Has anyone else had a similar problems or could I have been the victim of some sort of identify fraud or something?

Insurance premiums have gone up a bit but not by that much.
Shop around - there's no value in necessarily staying with the same company, they have no feelings of loyalty to returning customers.

Had my renewal come in from Lancaster yesterday for £179, up from £177 last year. That is with legal cover and agreed value. I was pleasantly surprised with that.

Yeah - mine looks very strange - I can't help but think there is something I am not aware of that has changed

I expect if you used a comparison site there will be some companies offering £3000+ if you scroll enough. It’s possible that changes in the rating structure or just claims stats could alter their view so the price alters from competitive to not. As long as you can get a lower price with a different provider I wouldn’t worry too much.

I had the same thing last year with LV. I shopped around and got a competitive quote elsewhere. LV had just changed their risk profile, nothing to do with anything I had done.

Shop around. Classic Line quoted me £1,050 for the Sagaris this year, I’ve been a customer of theirs for probably around 8 years. Footman James later that day quoted me £570, using the same provider. No such thing as loyalty in the insurance game.

Dont want to brass you off but the Chim is only valued at 20K.
Your cars are worth a lot more.
Insurance via AIB is £140 including UK & European breakdown & legal protection.
It went up £4 from last year.
So i did not bother shopping around. driving

Sorry but that's a 200% jump. Maths matters on PH.
