T Car Dash ECU plus Ribbon Cables

Hello All.

I'm starting to think that my eroneous dash readings (on the Tam) are being caused by the dash ECU failing.

Jody at Python is nearest to me for repair.

But, can I swap the dash ECU from the Sag for a diagnostic check? Or are the dash readings / miles etc .. stored in the dash ECU so it will carry over these from the Sag? Ideally, I'd like to swap over when the faults are showing. Drive a bit. Then swap back to see if the faults return.

Yes, you should be able to swap the ECU. The Sagaris will have a newer software version. But the ECU only controls the displays and some interior functions. The engine runs on the engine ECU.

I have already gone to the workshop once without an ECU.

I would have thought the car mileage can only be stored in the dash ECU or dash itself. I'm sure Jody can tell you, or try it. Worst case is you will put some more miles on the Sag!
