Just came back from a 2 day factory visit.

AWESOME.

1. Got a very warm welcome from some guys at the factory.

2. Met up with the lovely Danielle

3. Had a chat with Ben about bringing TVR back to the german market

4. Had a meeting with a very friendly and understandable Peter Wheeler to discuss my special wishes on my T350

All in all they all made me feel I'm welcome and a little bit like I'm at home.

Brilliant customer service as ever...

And as a very special bonus I had the possibility to drive the cham.green T350 prototype just one day before it has to go to the Autosport show.

Some guys at the workshop had to work very hard to make it ready for my test drive. Big thank you guys!!!

All I can say after my test drive: GO FOR IT !!!

Awesome handling and exhaust noise. Very good build quality and very very beautiful when in motion...

So I've ended with speccing my very special car and hopefully will get it around May/June.

Christof*very happy*

PS: No T350T yet guys, you have to wait for at least another 3 months

Congratulations with your new beastie Christof.

What did Peter Wheeler / Ben said about coming back to
the German (and European) market ?
I heard that the Tuscan have to pass some extra tests
to get homologation for Germany, but PW refused to do these.

Did they mentionned this ?

Hi Christof,

Do your specs include the car to be a LHD-version?

Guten Tag,
Peter.

No, I will get a RHD version, as usual. Don't like to drive a LHD TVR ....

Mr. Wheeler mentioned that TVR will offer the sequential gearbox as an option. Price will be around 4.000-4500 GBP. He mentioned also that the gearbox was developed for the Sp12 engine and therefore massive enough not to cause any problems.

Regarding the german market, Ben mentioned that the next LHD drive cars will be the T350 and Tamora. TVR will try to get more press coverage here in Germany and then create more demand to the cARS. Next step is to install some more dealers.

Not sure about the emission test, but will have a discussion with Terry, who is responsible for the homologation, in the next few days.

Flasher I've taken some pics and send most of them to Ted to post them on pistonheads.

I can send you some more if you like, but unfortunately there was no finished T350 at the end of the production line and obviously "silver" will become a very popular colour...

Andy, given that it is essentially Tamora (I know it's stiffer - oo er missus) but sounds wise are you expecting it to sound like your tamora with the roof up? Rich... (still templted but I need to sell some more s/w now )

Rich

Although the Tamora sounds good when it's opened up. The T350 sounds awesome on the tickover. It's a totally new exhaust system and believe me it is very different to the Tamora exhaust...and to cap it all the car is the most beautiful looking thing since the Griff, IMO anyway...

So what spec did you go for in the
end Christof, did you manage to get the T440R engine and exhaust? Did they
say anything about the new spectra-flare colours which are coming out??

Can't wait to see the pics...

The silver coloured car at the show was Spectra Flare.

Yep and the Tuscan R was also in Spectra-Flare, I was at the factory several weeks ago and talked to Gerbil about more colours coming out in the near future.

I didn't go to the show but Dad had the spec sheets to hand when Plotloss wanted to know the colour.

Just google for SpectraFlair and it will come up with the manufacturers website - a company called Rage Extreme if memory serves.

I didnt think that the Motorshow Tuscan R was Spectra though because that colour is significantly cheaper than Spectraflair Silver.

Excellent news, Christof.

A bit suprising they won't make the Tuscan available in LHD form, since it is obviously the only TVR non-TVR enthusiasts/people in the know have heard of...

Looking forward to read about Christof and his "special engine"'s excellent adventures
(Personal body kit already in the pipe I suppose?!)

Also looking forward to having a TVR dealership round the corner!

Sorry Thom, you've missed me.

TVR still do the LHD Tuscan. I've seen the first 2 at the german dealership at some other at the production line. So no worries about that mate...
