I'm up to about 350 miles now, using the car for the 1/2 hour journey to work so I can get to 1000 miles quickly. I'm lucky to have a nice twisty road for 1/3 of the journey followed by a dual carriageway for another 1/3 and then a bit of town traffic for about 3 miles into the office. Nice secure car park too, so it's ideal for running in. Tell Fish to get those miles racked up or he'll struggle to keep up on Sunday!!!

We are up to 320 I think, but I will certainly let him know... Now where can we go tonight....
flasher said: So to sum up Bennno would like a T350 with a Cerb interior that sounded like a Griffith and had the image of a Tuscan..
almost, more like a T350 with a cerb dash, t350 instruments, a 4.2L AJP engine that makes a griff 500 bellow (overlaid with the popping and banging of course) and a pair of tuscan rear indicators.

best go to the one right in the town centre on the 2nd floor then, in the pedestrian road opposite marks & spencers.
last time we went there we saw Jeff Banks and the lot I was with decided to upset him and his ahem 'male partner' by calling him George (as in the other designer that does all the stuff for Asda).

Totally different, it burbles like a V8 and sounds awesome when opened up. This is probably down to the exhaust which looks identical to the one on the T440R and T400R. It really doesn't sound anything like my old Tamora so obviously it's a completely different system. I would be surprised if it didn't fit a Tamora.

The most I have done is go by the handbook and give it 75% throttle for five seconds which took me to the 4000rpm limit that comes in after 250 miles. According to the handbook, that helps to bed the piston rings in. I'm playing it by the book as I want a good engine. When you do accelerate the power surge is terrific....I can't imagine how good it's going to be, hopefully as good if not better than my Tamora....
Was it one of you lot in Wherwell (spelling?) on Sunday about lunch time? Stunning looking black T350 (with the number plate to go with it).
We've got some US guests staying with us, they're closet car nuts, and they're jaws just about hit the floor! Mind you they've been gaping at every TVR they see over here - saw a black Tuscan coming out of Henley on Saturday they were drooling over too.

Up to 780 miles, after my marathon A-road jaunt TO Wales today. Its in for its 1k service next week, so will be able to open it up properly soon.
Fuel filler is still not mastered despite 3 more fill ups today. a word of warning as well, second fill up totally brimmed the tank (as it kept cutting off throughout the refill i didnt realise) so i pulled the handle to close the vent - come next refill the standard whoosh was accompanied with a moby dick style face full of petrol - you have been warned!

twas me. heading down to a nice little pub by the river (think its called the Mayfly.)
Curses - lunch with our US friends was a toss up between the Mayfly and the White Hart in Wherwell - and the White Hart won. Would have loved to have had a closer look at your car.
Note to self - must get to next VW meet, must get to next VW meet.
