I have it on pretty good advice that they aren't going to do a targa at all. Looking at mine I just can't see how they are going to make it work without weakening the rollcage and affecting the handling.

And I think it will spoil the lines of the car and the buffetting will be terrible. Time will tell.....

That's a good point regarding the buffeting. All that air getting sucked into the hatch area could create real problems.

Lets go back to the idea of taking the whole roof off - convert the tamora to the new shape of the 350 - flashers photo shop image proved what a stunner it would be

I'm sorry your 'advice' is incorrect. They are having issues regarding the number of panels and potentially may create a T-bar. The big issue is the continuity of the rollcage around the roofline above the doors. But this is resolved by the T-Bar approach.
As for spoiling the lines ... well that's a matter of taste and I'm sure my 400 horses will more than make up for that
I've been given May as a potential date, and as this falls well short of the two years I waited for my Cerbera, I'm quite happy to wait

Ok, you (as usual) are right and I am wrong. I obviously dont know anyone from the factory and haven't got any inside knowledge from people in the know.

Eh? How does a T-bar solve it then? The car will lose it's ridgidity completeley and it totally defeats the object.

May? Don't be ridiculous. It takes six weeks to build a car and May is only eight weeks away. Are you telling us the car will be redesigned, and jigs built in the space of the next week?

I await for this post to be binned, as obviously I'm the only one who is continuosly offended by your total know-it-all and thoroughly condescending posts.

Don't get me wrong, I hope they do get it sorted quickly, but I have been told from a very reliable source that they are really struggling with the roof panels, (the way the rollcage is a integral part of the car doesn't help) and the buffetting.

The main reason I didn't order the "T" is because I knew they would take well beyond Summer to sort it out, if at all. And don't bet against them canning the whole thing either, it's happened many, many times before....

Can they not go for the Tuscan style hoop at the back and strengthened windscreen surround? Okay I know it would loose rigidity over the full rollcage but surely it would still be better than a convertable and also offer rollover protection.

Edited to say: Obviously this wouldn't help the buffeting issue.

Full convertable with the full rollcage - am I the only one who thinks it would look utterly stunning??

Like a modern Tuscan racer!!

If only I had the money...

Why don't you get to the point instead of beating around the bush again

My information is also coming from the factory through the 'official' channels.
You appear to have your car and it not a 'T' so why make all the fuss? All these types of posts achieve is to raise the angst level of those concerned. That knocks on to the dealers who in turn p155 off the factory. Then they don't build it as the too difficult light comes on.
If it doesn't happen after all, well that's life isn't it. But then again didn't the Cerbera begin its life in 93, as a Chimera with a roof - look at it now, it doesn't share a single common panel... What about all the people at that stage that voicied the same sentiments that you're expressing now? Big helpings of humble pie.

I think you need to chill out..

I had also heard about the buffeting problems as being a potential blocker for the t version.

The reason i went with the C (in addition to liking the rigidity of a coupe) was the fact that the T version was being muted as £1800 extra. Given it will need air con either way it seemed to make the car a bit too expensive when combined with all of the other essential extras.

Sure if they do sort it I will probably want one mind.

Any reason why they couldn't make the back end a bit like a Tuscan? - with a removeable targa panel and rear window?

It's lose the coupe looks, but might solve the problem...?

If the Targa is too difficult, they will either make a full convertible, or stay with the Tamora and T350C. Personally, given the sales, I would love them to go for a T350 rag top. I think it's a case of watch this space!!
