Will it be a £2000 sun roof? yawn!

Im with the mighty chimp on this one - lets stop bickering about our "OPINIONS" as that is all they are and listen to those in the know.

We are entitled to express our opinion but to call eachother knobs aint what this site was for. Is it?

On a more serious note I would find rather surprising TVR had already indicated a price for a car that had not been drawn yet. Had they really announced the exact price for the T350T at the motorshow or just an approximative one ?

The Mighty Chimp said: I actually think it's a shame the forums are used for petty slanging matches, we're all mates in here & there should be other places to let off steam like that. I enjoy reading the threads but I personally take no enjoyment out of reading stuff like this.

As an objective bystander, I actually think 999 was contributing to an interesting debate about a car I'm sure we're all very keen to see. I'm not sure about the bars over the windows thing (although I think I saw an old Land Rover with that style of open roof?!), & I'm sure that buffeting will be a problem, may require some redesign of the rear window?

I can see that there's a few of you in here who are established friends, reading this I think 999 was on a hiding to nothing for expressing his opinions and you've all sprung to flashers defence. Whether you agree with 999 or not, I think that it's a shame you have to shout someone down, when to me it seems that someone else is equally to blame for the tone of chat. I personally don't know who flasher is, or see why anybody should necessarily know about him or his car(s) or the problems he's had (...for which I'm genuinely sympathetic!), but, I'm sorry, reading this IMO I don't think he's added anything constructive to this debate at all.

IMO, the T350 is a great car whether it's a fixed head or a targa, I'm very jealous of any of you that can afford to buy one, so, guys, just chill out & chat for fun! I've no wish to be shouted down like 999, so I'll leave my post at that!

You are right its not like ***999*** posted anything like the diatribe below earlier on this thread, all I asked him to do was reveal the mystery car...

'Instead of resorting to personal insults again why don't you speak to someone at the factory other than the temporary cleaner you appear to be getting your 'hot' information from.
You are the one not listening. Your aggressive and uninformed posts in this topic are the laughing stock of quite a few dealers out there... check them out!!
Although your pretty pictures show 2 t-bars with nothing above the doors there are several others out there WITH framework above the doors. Spend some time doing research (clue - look further than the Japanese market ). '

Whilst debating with a dealer last week, which of the Tamora/T350c/t options to go for (still unresolved), he described photos of the protoype.

Being the non-artistic type I couldn't visualise it.

However my point is- if there are photos out there, why aren't they on this site???

An exact price for the targa option was quoted.

Childish? Yes, absolutely. Entertaining? 10/10. Ted... (I'm on my knees) don't press the evil "Thread Closed by PetrolTed" button.

Nonsense. I have never in all my years read such condescending ,patronising bollocks as he writes on here. It's got f**k all to do with people knowing me and more to do with the fact that most of us see the bloke as a complete knob.

You want to try seeing it from where the rest of us are sitting - pot, kettle etc springs to mind....

I'm with the Mighty Chimp on this one, I think the likes of ***999*** are entitled to their opinions (which is all I read into his posts) without being subjected to the sort of uneccessary abuse dished out in this thread. But hey, I don't even own a TVR so what the feck do I know

If there's no more personal abuse then I won't close the thread. People can form their own opinions about other contributors - there's no need to resort to personal abuse.

OKm - so when are we going to see this bloody car - Ted give Peter W a bell and ask him.
As for the bickering kids - when Ted says bury the hatchet he does not mean in each others heads etc.

Spoke to TVR about it last week. No indication of a production date as yet. Long panels are the design of choice.

They also confirmed that a T350C would appear in the Tuscan Challenge later in the year but at the moment it's pretty much just a sketch on a drawing board.

Look forward to seeing the t350 targa when it comes out.

Agree a bit with your comments below reading the thread back to the start, but think both flasher and 999 seem to be giving as good as they both got Ted.

I have just got back from the bedford autodrome and can confirm the t350 handles superbly!

It is very controllable on the limit, and oversteer can be caught fairly easily - it does have a bit of roll oversteer mind, but its very progressive.

Only slight incident was a big bang at about 140 as the rear diffuser decided to disconnect itself at one corner, still I guess thats a good sign that its generating a bit of downforce.

Good news Benno! Glad to hear you're enjoying TVR ownership again!
140 is pretty quick at Bedford! I managed 135 in my Tamora on the long straight and 138 in the dealer's Tuscan S. Mind you you probably just took the preceeding corner better than I did!
See you soon..... Andrew

Wow handbags at dawn or what? Just been reading the totally awesome bruha between 999 and flasher. This whole issue of buffetting reminds me of this one time I picked up this ladee, totally hot by the way, and gave her a fantastic ride in my mate Steve's MR2 T-bar. Top down, plenty of buffetting and we hadn't even left my mum's garage... know what I mean?
