Mines back from peter smiths sports cars after her first 1000 mile service most the niggles fixed. I have just taken her out for a blast and on the home went to fill her up and the bloody chrome surround has just fell off!! What a crap design just sticking it on with a bit of glue! It's a good job it fell off at the petrol station it could of fell off when I was moving and I wonder what TVR would charge for a new one. Any way after getting home I took a look at what is behind the surround and it was stuck to brass ring so I polished it up and it don't look bad. There no way I am going to stick the chrome ring on because it is bound to come off again.
And another thing I have just watched the Grand Prix and seen Schumacher’s Ferrari nearly go up in flames after fuel pissed out over the back of his car (Ring any bell's). Just filled mine up and guess what, Fuel pissed out all over the back, Could this be dangerous, I mean there is a hot exhaust system near by.

RICCI said: Don't use BMW as an example of a customer service dept! I had so many problems with an M3evo I asked them for help. They basically told me to bu66er off! Ended up selling the car back to the dealer then suing them (the dealer) for the difference between purchase and sale price. I won and don't buy BMW's any more.

I had exactly the opposite response. I was working in Bracknell and had a gearbox problem on a 3-series. The dealer said there was a known problem and suggested I checked it in for service and they'd replace it under warranty. Could take a week or so. I was impatient then (and even more impatient now) so I called BMW GB HQ at Bracknell to have a moan and was put through to the 3-Series UK Product Manager. He was interested in the problem and asked me to drop by. I did within the hour and he took it and me out for a test drive. He instantly diagnosed the problem and he called my local garage. The gearbox was changed the next day. I was very impressed.

I'd like to think TVR would have someone with a similar level of interest to get customer feedback - after all they don't exactly have many customers - relatively speaking - so it wouldn't need a staff of thousands.
