0-60 4.2s
0-70 5.1s
0-80 6.6s
0-90 7.8s
0-100 9.1s

Standing quarter 12.5s/119mph

Obviously you haven't driven a speed six engined or AJPV8 engined car jigs....when your revs run out at 5000 the S6 and AJP8 go on to 7500, I have driven next to V8's on the runway and the way the later cars pull away after 70mph is astounding.....

Yes I read - my point is about the real world - it's a bit boring and pointless driving down a runway - where's the driving challenge in that - go to Santa Pod - some Saxo with a rocket strapped to it's ass will cream you - so what?

0-60 in 0.1 second faster than the Tamora! I can see why you are feeling so superior in your "real world"

Get real and be a bit generous.

OK then bring your Griff to any circuit in the country and if you can do a quicker lap time than me and nubbin I will eat my words and donate £100 to a charity of your choice. If not please shut the f**k up and go and annoy some people on a different website...

Snakes - I wasn't being superior - just pointing out that figures don't tell the real story - only impress the pub bore. Enjoy your TVR - that's enough.

Flasher - I don't have an ego problem. If you're a boy-racer you'll eventually be disappointed or off the road because there's always someone faster -so what?

You've totally missed my point - I'm not challenging your manhood - don't take everything so personal. You and nubbin race to your hearts' content but only one will win. So what?

Climb Everest if you need a challenge. I don't need an excuse to donate to charity nor advertise any donation.

jigs 4.1 to 60mph a regular happening in 'your' real world? I would doubt it. Performance times are one thing but they seldom do any justice to the driving experience offered by the car. The Tamora/T350C would put in a far quicker lap time than a Griff (using the same driver etc. so no useless comments about one driver being better etc ) despite the 0.1 of a second difference to 60mph.
This in the same way that 'our' (see profile) AJP 4.5 Tuscan Challenge cars would hammer the Tamora/T350C despite the lack of puff right at the top end power to weight and a lot of other factors !!

The question was asked about performance figs for the Tamora seems a shame to have you highjack the thread !!

Dear oh dear, this is all getting ridiculous. Firstly I am not a "boy racer" if I was I would have smashed up my TVR's by now and have a dozen points on my licence. I take my car round the track, rather than sit on here waffling about 0-60 times that if you tried to achieve would wreck your car. I don't "race" my car round the public highway and neither does nubbin. You were the one who cam on here bragging about your 0-60 times not me.

I can't beleive I am even having a conversation with someone who two weeks ago followed "gemini" round on every thread making pathetic comments about the Eurovision Song contest.....

Get a life Jigs.

The problem is Jigs that you could have made that point so much better. It was provocative and dismissive to just add a post that sounded as though the 0 - 60 time of the Griff was the "real story" after someone had just provided an answer following a request for data. Even you like to know the numbers - hence your good recollection of a report of 7 years ago!

Goes with the highly strung engines, swilly! Mind you, I don't how you chaps on the Tuscan forum stay so polite and charming with the same lump up front - obviously a much more mature crowd. Do they do Tuscans in Rover beige?

Its must be like the thing actors have about not mentioning Macbeth, as its bad luck......don't mention the noisy thing in front otherwise it'll break

I can imagine a John Cleese scenario of thrashing the engine with a stick, shouting "No, I wasn't talking about, you, I bloody wasn't! What's the matter with you? Who ever heard of a shy engine?! Start, you bastard, start!!!!"
