Its been at my tube station (Moorgate) for 3 days now.

...It's too expensive (the T350). You can have a Clio V6 and a something for a 350 with air and leather bits.

In the old days (err '95) a TVR was built OK and destroyed evreything on performance & price. Now, they still build everything like the ark, but with suspect engines (there is something wrong with the 6 IMHO but fixable) and ludicrous prices (£45-50k - forget it) plus there's more competition.

2nd hand is the only way to go (see the demand on late Tuscans for example) once some poor(er) unsuspecting has brought the price down to the 30's.

A sad day as I still love them - I've just lost too much and becaome more bitter about quality and complete "who gives a toss" by the management.

Yep, but on the same note if you want a clio why not save 21k and buy a 1.2 3dr.

Or why not buy a Clio Cup 172 which is supposedly just as fast and much more fun to drive. That way you could have a 15k Elise as well for just the price of the V6 Clio!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ahh - hello benno on this one as well....absolutely - but the V6 looks great, the 172 looks like a Clio.

I'm sure you are very happy with your T350. You seem to be passionate about it and enjoying the whole experience & I'm genuinely pleased for you. TVR needs more good stories like yours. I'm now too jaded, for a lot of reasons that are neither relevant nor pertinent to this topic to venture there again for a while/new owner.

I'd still love to have one, I just can't bring myself to do it again yet.

Or buy the Clio Cup 172 (currently new ones available at £10900 from some car supermarkets), and a '95 Griffith 500 for £16K, all for the price of that Clio V6??

twenty seven grand for that jumped up shopping trolley? Its a joke!! all IMHO of course

cheers

Presumably because you are too Rich...

p.s. A £30k Clio fitted with a hideous max power plastic body kit I suppose it appeals to the 18-22 y-olds, but you can't seriously compare it with the VX220 and the T350C can you...

Most noticeable by their absence are CAR magazine, practically every other car mag EVO, Auto Express, AutoCar etc have done a review of the T350C in this weeks/months issue but CAR’s main feature is the new BMW 5 series – all you need to know allegedly…. Good to see that TVR remember being stitched up/bad mouthed and have put a little black mark against their name. Good to see the the car in all mags comes out very well and is a credit to the guys at TVR for their design efforts, described as an epochal car in the same manner as the Griff i.e. the company has turned a corner

Noticed in the photos of the T350C in profile that the front air vents are joined up, i.e. you can see right through. What are the metal pins sticking down from the top of the front vents for - visible in low head-on shots?

I was going to ask that. I haven't got them on mine - obviously a revision.

FYI there is also a mini review in this months STUFF magazine (the one for gadgets)...
They also tested the SL500 and wait for it....the StreetKa...if it wasn't for Kylie i'd rip that page out of the mag...

Anyway, they should stick with PDAs and digital cameras...although they agreed the Tam was a "purists dream" they didn't have a clue what lump was underneath the bonnet, starting the review calling it a V8 and then mentioning the glorious Speed Six...

Just read the T350C articles in EVO, AutoCar and Top Gear.

I thought EVO were very fair, and maybe they would choose the Clio, but how many people are going to spend 27k on a Clio, as nice as it is?

AutoCar - normal review.

Top Gear - who was the spaz driving? Sounds like he was only use to driving Daewoos and 4x4s. It's an overpowerful RWD sportscar, of course it oversteers. The Stig managed to get it around the TG TV prog test track quicker than nearly every car on the road. TVR never said it was neutral handling did they? The car appeared to have gained a few gremlins - passenger window not raising for example, not good and fair to report. However, when they start moaning about the ashtray we know it's a good 'un. There can't have been much else to moan about. My opinion of TG has gone down.
