I hope I can post some comments on here without being haranged (sic) by some of the more aggressive members of Pistonheads.

This may be my first post on here, but I have followed the advice of the wise and visited without commenting for some time.

I have a T350T on order (motorshow) that is due for 'early' delivery.

I've noted comments (in amongst the slanging matches) from others who have T's on order (RODS, 999 are a few that spring to mind) that confirm what I too am being told. I was given a May delivery - in good faith no doubt - but have now been told July/August.
Personally I'm happy to wait, but in the meantime the acid remarks of some P'headers who seem happy to argue over facts provided by actual customers is somewhat frustrating to say the least.

It seems that the factory are giving dealers information about the customer cars that are on the top of the build list and that any other information obtained via 'top sources' excepting Hatchn (who spoke to the boss himself) is in the most part inaccurate (and in some cases is outright unhelpful).

You may ask the point of this post ? Well I'm just requesting that any of those T customers out there who have news they wish to share about build dates, specs etc, don't feel that they are pariahs merely because they express a view or pass on information that differs from the opinions or news passed by others.

I could from memory quote the names of those whose attitudes towards what will inevitably be yet another excellent TVR, are negative to say the least, but I'm with Christof - Lets stick to fair debate and cut the personal mud flinging.

I'm looking forward to driving the T, whether or not the removable panels cost £2000 extra (don't think they're that much anyway), or if the wind buffets with the panels out, or even if the petrol filler trim falls off. Who knows - the Performance Pack may assist in alleviating the little niggles (if the chq book can stretch to the extra few grand!!)

I also look forward to checking this thread to see whether some can bite the bullet or not!! Testing time in deed.

edited to get the smiley right!

To enlighten this thread in advance, I have to remember, that if the T doesn't look like this,

it's probably an FHC with sunroof

Bodo, so I guess the early Porsche Targas with the removable panels sitting either side of the centre piece were also FHC's but without the added safety of the all round roll bar...?

I guess from your smiley that you jest... I hope you're not trying to instigate yet another T thread argument already...

Thats clever, start a new thread in such a way as to stimulate a response and stir up an arguement!

I think as its just a t350c with a pair of small sunroofs its not unrealistic to expect it to be out in July or August.

Bear in mind some of the people whom doubted it would be out in May have now been proven right!

Hopefully some of you guys will get your t350t's soon as a bit of fast driving will ease your frustrations and make you less up for pointless arguements on gassing.

Bennno - at the risk of incurring your wrath (and therefore that of the moderators or so it appears to an outsider), I've go to say that the guys who in your previous posts 'insisted' that they would be getting delivery were merely posting what I too had been told - Confirmed May Delivery... now to criticise that fact in the manner in which it was is what I refer to as being unhelpful...
I hope that explains it a little better.

Anyway don't you have a C?
Are you looking to buy a T?

Cheers

Tivster - agreed, it'd be good to have a natter about the possible "T" variant. Personally I hope they DO produce one. Granted my engineering knowledge isn't up to HOW they could do this, but if Bodo's mock-up is anything to go by, it could be interesting..!

Here's to TVR!

Tivster, my comment arose from my expectations of how a t350t may look like, and the picture of a supposed t350t shell in the factory, posted in another thread. That's all

I am generally not a friend of open sports cars (except open LM racers ), and it's really down to every individual's taste how a T looks good (gives enough 'open').

Sorry for not being helpful on your topic, I only felt the need to express my feelings

And now owe up, are you an existing member?

Guys, can't fall into sleep...

Will be at the factory in 10 hours and will have some infos on the T350T and, hopefully, some pics.

Will share the info, when I'm back in Germany.

Peace...

Is this thread being radically censored ?

What has happened to my previous post ? Why ahs it been deleted ?

Was there anything contentious ?

I'd like a reponse from whomever is responsible. I don't think I've ever participated in any forum that acts in this way, ever and I've been part of quite a few.(for those computer buffs out their try the ATI Video card forum over at Rage3d.com to get a taste of real spats)

I'll reitterate - this is a genuine post that pertains to be nothing more than it appears, so come on chap(esse)s - leave it alone!

If this continues being over - moderated, then I congratulate you Pistonheads on the securing the shortest membership ever.

Christof - get some good pics and post them up. A bit of inside information from someone the factory obviously respects would be most welcome.

I deleted the posts because I wanted the thread to get back on topic, not just degenerate into another argument between Flasher, Bennno and the latest contender. If you want to talk about T350T's then stay and talk, if you want to pursue a tired old argument with F&B then do it somewhere else.

'nuff said.

I said i was on this thread to find out more about the T350T and you delete my post? Isn't that enough on topic?

Edited to correct factual error - it was not my thread!

Ted, nice to hear back from you with an explanation, but its a bit much to have the posts just disappear without any comment.

I appreciate the 'keep it on track' attitude and agree about the tired arguments, but as I said at the start, I'd appreciate genuine posts and am after information not rumour or negativity!

I don't think I like being labelled as tje 'latest contender'. I have no intention of being sucked into those kind of arguements...believe me.
