Have just taken my Tamora back to the dealers, so am now Tivless untill the T350t turns up. Have only been back home half an hour, and am missing it already
Still, the car was due to go back in January, and they have let me keep it untill now, so they have been very fair.
I originally ordered a Coupe at the motorshow, and then changed the order to a Targa, but am thinking seriously about going back to the coupe. If so, I am questionning the Air-con option.
I know everyone on here says its is a must, but is it?
It will be used as a second car, I normally have the windows down all the time anyway, and as said on another thread, If air-con isn't used regularly, you have problems in having to have it re gassed all the time.
Although you may get a lower figure when you come to trade it in, you didn't pay so much for it in the first place, so you cannot loose what you haven't paid for.
I had a griff with no Power steering and everyone said tha same about that, but I got a good Part ex figure and the garage sold it within a few days. I don't have Air Con on the Tamora, and to be honest have'nt really found the heat soak to be an issue, and how many really hot days do we get in the UK?
Has anyone on here with a C not got Air con fitted?

It sounds to me like you do need it Nigel, plus it will seriously affect the resale value if you leave it out.

Basically on the move with the windows open it is fine without air con.

Its on a hot day when you slow down or hit traffic that air con becomes essential.

What you save on the sunroofs will pay for the AC!!

I just traded my tamora with no a/c in for my t350c with a/c.Whilst it was ok in the tamora without it,it is essential in the t350c as the temp in the cabin is much higher in the t350c. I have just driven 120 miles with windows up/down,a/c on/off and i just couldnt get it cold enough,so taking it in monday to try and get the a/c working better.

If you close the passenger side air vent and then point the drivers side one at your face with the fan on full blast (air con switch on) then it will just about be cool enough on a hot day! Trust me i tried it yesterday when the sun was out.

I think it also going to be one of those Must Haves when looking for a second hand one - so not particularly resale price but resale at all?

Thanks for those replies guys, they are pretty much what I was expecting you all to say.
I suppose that it also helps in the damper times of the year, helping to keep the windows clear from misting up.
I don't know about others, but unless it is pi$$ing down with rain, I always have the windows down. Helps hear those glourious exhaust sounds (much better than any CD ), and as you need the windows shut for air con to work properly, hence my reluctance to add to the options.

I test drove a T350C that had no air con - it was a hot day and boy oh boy did it need it.

It was a relief to get back into my roofless SEAC !

Great car the T350 - can't wait for the targa version !

I agree with Alan. The car gets incredibly hot inside (even hotter than my old cerb did), especially if you do a few miles then leave it for a while. You get back in and the heat has radiated & is coming from the centre console (so bad that it melts all the glue) and from the dash top. A T350.., (even one with removable roof panels) without air con is not an option.
