I'm very soon going to take the plunge and change my trusty 2000 Chimaera 500 for a new (or very nearly new if I can find the right car) Tamora. I took one out for a one hour test drive at the weekend and I think it is in another league compared to my 500! My only initial disappointment was the noise (or lack of) but even that opinion was changed as we hit about 5000rpm for the first time.

Anyway, I have a pretty good idea of what I want in terms of colour - (silver/titanium paint, black/grey interior on 18" anthracite wheels) - but would be extremely grateful if anyone with a similar spec car could post pictures here or email them direct to me to help me confirm my choice!

I had also considered a reflex/chameleon painted car so if you think your car looks great, lets see it - I may have to change my mind.

Finally, is full leather worth the cost or is the lamonta reasonably hard wearing?

Many thanks to anyone who can help!!!

I went from a Griff 500 to the Tamora, and have had no regrets.
I have just taken it back to Castle's in Part ex against a new T350. It is Widefire Red Pearl with full black hide with Mulberry inserts, siting on 18" Anthracite wheels. Looks superb (Picture on my profile).
That would be a good bet to look at if you like that colour combo, Done 5550 miles and No problems at all. Don't know what that will ask for it, but may be worth a look.
As for the full hide option. I would certainly go for it, I know a few people on here have had problems with the standard Bison trim, and there is just something about a full hide interior that makes the experience so much more ... well, you know.
Good luck on your hunting, hope you find the right car.

Not seen one in the complete colour combo you are considering but Castle's did have one with similar interior scheme to what yoiu are suggesting and it looked great.

I agree with Nigel on the full leather, definitely worth the extra money. I would also suggest getting aircon. It can get quite hot without it switched on, and the system in the Tamora is very effective.

I also have the close ratio box and electric lumbar on the seats which are not a necessity.

Hi VIMAX500
When I was looking for to upgrade my S all I ever wanted was a 450 Chimp but when I test drove it against the Tamora I was sold on the driving experience alone and have never looked back. I have been lucky not too have had any serious problems with mine after 1 years ownership. I agree the only thing missing is the V8 grumble but there are rumours that TVR may bring a sports exhaust into production.
As far as colour goes I feel the Tamora needs that something a bit special so spending a little extra on the paint was worth it IMHO!
Take a look and see what you think?

Reflex green, I only know of one other Tamora in this colour.
Thanks
Glenn

At the risk of boring anyone who has listened to these before, you can make your Tamora sound like this, with the help of an ACT sports exhaust -

www.tvrcars.biz/Tamora%20Exhaust1.mp3

www.tvrcars.biz/Tamora%20Exhaust2.mp3

www.tvrcars.biz/Tamora%20Exhaust3.mp3

www.tvrcars.biz/Tamora%20Exhaust4.mp3

The samples above were recorded immediately after fitting the new exhaust. Having been on the car for a few months now and become nicely coked up, it sounds even better.

My car initially had a Bison interior which was poorly trimmed and starting to wear after only 1000 miles, (possibly due to a faulty batch of material?). However, I managed to get it upgraded to full leather which looks far better IMO and also smells great.

who was the guy on here who had a reflex charcoal T350 and had help with the interior (from Danielle at the facory IIRC). That was a seriously handsome car and well worth a look if you're speccing a new one

There were some pics posted of it but I can't find them now...

Are you thinking of Bennno's (as featured in Sprint)?

No, though that was a very nice example...

I found the thread and here it is, it belongs to R800 TVR...

Check it out on www.sleepy-fish.com

Seriously good looking car (interior very 'minty fresh').

Edited to add quote so it made sense!
Edited again to remove 'can't remember the name because it was answered above.

Ah - sorry, missed the "charcoal" bit. Only seen that before on a Tuscan, but it's a stonking colour isn't it!?
