Again a strange "leaf lifter" syndrome at work here.

What size tyres are the front and rears on both 16" and 18" wheels?

PS I trust you both know my sense of humor by now!

If I had a Tamora I'd say those before and after pics would have made up my mind on the 18 inchers.

Would have to have 'em!

Flasher and Nubbin: both lovely colours.

Flasher,

It's amazing how the new wheels make the whole car (and the photo) look bigger

yeh, its almost as if Flashers 18" wheels make the car bigger. Just look it now almost fills the whole photo, but before was only in the middle of the picture.

I'd say the make the whole car about 50% bigger..

just look in the first photo the cars behind are a similar size, but just look at the second photo and see how much it has grown, compared to the S in the background....its incredible

very funny benno....

Your Porker looks excellent in the pictures because you can't hear the crunching and whining of the gearbox

I have just put my anorak on and done the following calculations: New front tyres give a rolling circumference of 1931mm down from 1984 (down 2.7%) and the new back tyres give 2027mm (up 2.1%). Therefore your roadspeed will be 2.1% higher than before when at an indicated 70mph. I guess this will probably be more accurate than before!

old tyres = 225 50 16

So 16" wheel/ tyre combo radius 315.7 mm
and 18" front 307.35 so front end lower by 8.35mm
and 18" rear 322.6 so rear end higher by 6.9mm

Total front to rear differance from before is 15.25mm

In conclusion, I was right, you've lowered the whole car by 8.35mm and jacked up the back end by 15.25mm

Would you like to buy a red spotlight lads?

Beware the raised rear roll axis doesn't induce roll oversteer on corner entry!
