Company Vectra is shite Miles...... but it's free, it's got air-con and a decent stereo and having it means I can own a TVR rather than a two-bob Porsche with a Volkswagen Caravanette engine, like thom

OK here we go, for fear of being strung up by the boox dont you think that.......(and keep in mind I owned a TVR) its a bit ripe spending that kind of money. Then having to go to the local B&Q to buy a tube of silicone to stop the door seals leaking. Call me funny but?????? hello wake up and smell the mold.

Err, yes, that's what keeps this forum going! But, the alternative is to buy a car you don't really want, or not buy one at all. It does piss me off a bit, but I took the plunge and bought the car with blind faith, and if I got fed up and tried to sell it, I'd lose an awful lot of money. So, like most others, I'm in the process of putting right what should have been right in the first place, to get the car I wanted at the start. But, the other side of the coin is that it really is a fantasy car, at sensible money, and I am prepared to put up with minor niggles to get that. I cannot afford a 911, Ferrari etc. so this car is my choice.

Hey Funky, driving a Maser Kharif you will get to know all about build quality mate

And somebody paid about £50 grand for that once too....

Most of us have a few little niggles but the car is ace and has 360 modena performance for 36,000 quid instead of 120,000 quid. and at least you can sort things out with a B&Q bodge, bet you can't with a Ferrari!!

So Flasher, how long til you can convince Bennno to look down the back of his sofa and find the money for one ... maybe when he gets 'bored' with the Ferrari ...

Nope, for the time being very happy with 456

I do like the Tamora but if i end up going for a 2 seater at the 40k mark then i would either try to find an extra 5-10k to buy a second hand 355 GTB/GTS.

Alternatively i would possibly save 20k and buy a mint Griffith.

That said the Tamora styling keeps on growing (i now think its a bit nicer than a Griff), the engine sounds lovely and it handles well. Perhaps in a while when the initial bugs are fully resolved and they have dropped to 25-30k i could be tempted.

Its nopthing personal guys i just got fed up with getting both of my Cerbys fixed and loosing a bundle on my last new Griffith in 9 months of ownership! (Griffith by the way was absolutely 100% reliable)

would you like a picture of the back end of her? you can then get used to what it looks like, as thats all you get to see in the flesh. And i'll be doing it in comfort, style and without 3 tubes of silicone and half a gallon of thompson waterseal in the boot.
Cop for that then! even if I do wear platforms and still have an affro

It doesn't make me mad thom

It's free, the petrol is free, and it saves the mileage on my Tamora.

Even if the engine does go pop, I wont be going out to buy a Triumph TR7 with a Volkswagen Caravanette 1.9 litre engine in it, complete with a Porsche badge

yeh, some pics would be great.
My Mas is out of this world. Mind you I think I was pretty lucky to pick up what was a £48k when new car, with only 5k miles on now and in mint nick for only £10K. (the guy I bought it of paid 20k for it 18mths ago at Meridian Modena)
As an all round package and unless I won the big one I dont know how I could better it for the money.
Its incredibly quick (285bhp 0-60 in 4.8 secs)in an understated body and with an absolutely fantastic interior. The headlining is hand stitched alcantara suede, the clock is absolutely fantastic and it just oozes quality.
I can quite honestly say that this is the only vehicle I have ever had that I have had this much pleasure out of owning. Yes i'd love a Porsche or Ferrari or Lambo but I aint in that league. So I suppose i'll have to put up with owning a mint 1 of only 21 rhd Maserati Karif. The only problem I do have with it is that until it has its full cambelt service i'm just a tad nervous of letting it have it just in case she nips up. I'd hate to have it just as an ornament.
Sorry if I went over the top but I cant help it. I love it.
