RSC have done the last few tweeks on there V8 Vantage Blower conversion.
Looking like should exceed the numbers or the V12V fairly comfortably. So should be as good if not better than a V12V it does not have the whopping great lump in the front.
This will be rolled out worldwide and I here deposits next week will start to be taken from next week.
[This is nothing to do with those Paramount people in Slough!] - this is done properly.
If you are brave enough contact http://www.rsctuning.com/ or Stuart Dickinson (PH Profile name) on here.

Ok I gave you a chance! But REALLY - you haven't driven a V12V have you. I mean DRIVEN not 'been in a mates'!I'll leave you to it. As for Quinny, go fk yourself.
- I'll leave anymore to RSC if they care to comment (but I can't see the UK being much of an Area worth bothing with for this Conversion).

It ain't the fastest thing in the world, but you'd be suprised at how much time I spend stuck behind numptys
Maybe I should get it to RSC, then I could overtake them and leave them in my wake
Sounds like you already know the way to go Quinny You can have a turbo supercharged mota home, just make sure you upgrade the brakes and watch the weight It ain't the fastest thing in the world, but you'd be suprised at how much time I spend stuck behind numptys

But like I hard heard, the Aston Mod pretty well get arsy about anything to do with modding there cars!
Sorry guys, he's right here, after posting up the stuff about my Sarah Maynard kit, it was roundly met with vitriol and disgust. For Christ's sake, it's a few knobs but people started getting quite personal and quite nasty about them.A company in the US has bolted on a Supercharger should anyone wish to give it a punt and make their Vantage go faster. What's the problem? If you don't like it, don't buy it. This stff is bigger in the US where they seem to rate the traffic-light grand prix as the benchmark for a performance car, all goes back to the hotrod days I suppose. So what?
I'm glad someone is doing stuff for Astons, FormulaDynamics started doing stuff for the Maserati 4200/GS and their kit transformed the cars, loads of UK owners with their add-ons now. Whether we take it up or not is up to the individual.
I believe we have a reputation on Pistonheads as one of the friendlier, more helpful and less judgemental forums. Personally I like that.
Anyway, glad I have a DB9 and am therefore not involved

Yeti, look at the forum as a whole and I'm sure it will confirm the above. You should know, you are not only a nice bloke but also a prolific poster.I feel it slightly unfair to say that this thread has tarnished the image - it was dubious from the start, posted by a chap with an adverse history trying to promote an untested proposal. I think Members have a right to scrutinise as they see fit.
Sorry you feel offended by the Sarah Maynard replies, and I have re-read that thread. Several people were very supportive of the general concept, whilst others felt that the products did not offer good value for money, or did not like the look of them.
You bring some crazy ideas to the forum, but they are always entertaining. Unlike the OP on this thread, your ideas are always well thought out and thoroughly researched. I would hope that you continue to do so.
I feel on this occasion you may be misaligning yourself
I have thoroughly enjoyed this thread over the last few days; been reading it in the evening whilst enoying the odd tipple on my sun drenched balcony in Nice.
I have known John for many years, raced against him for a few more years than I care to remember so here is an offer to John - I will bring my 4.7 V8V to Silverstone next month and we can compare notes afer the race and I will try to convince you of the merits of a non modded V8V vs. a modded one. Don't forget that I traded a GT3 for one of these babies.
I have learnt a whole lot from the good people on this forum and I find them hugely informed, helpful and respectful but, like me, sometmes enjoy a bit of a wind up from time to time especailly when somebody 'sets themselves up'.

To be fair, there are mods and there are mods.In posting things up on the internet you are inviting critique. It may be good. It may be bad. If the majority of said feedback is bad, it tells you something. Doesn't mean you're wrong if you like something, but it's probably an indication that most you meet will disagree (so be careful who's opinion you ask for ).
IMO the revised knobs are not an improvement. They look like old toothpaste tube caps. But if you like em, why do you care?
On the RSC kit, a non-owner comes and posts about something that's been discussed plenty previously. He also dismisses one of the better products AM make in the process citing the RSC kit as better value. He then choose to deride AM owners because they choose not to mod their cars. Like this is some sort of badge of honour.
Is it really any wonder that his opinion is dismissed as foolishness? Simple, unbiased mathematics is enough to prove that he is wrong. The amount of take up of said kit underscores it. As some have said, if the vendor is prepared to put their balls on the block, some might even be prepared to give it a go. But I pretty much guarantee they won't.

Gosh, I've owned two. I will be on the phone forthwith to send it back to the dealer as I am not knowledgeable.
I must have missed the "after market tuners of note from before I was born" lecture at the dealership as part of my "Are you suitable to purchase an Aston Martin" course.

They used to own a racing team that raced astons
Good research!! I think you'll find they re-engineered a lot of blocks for Aston racers, plus they developed many racing bits for Astons and also kept the Aston name alive in the '70s, '80s and '90s in motor racing; did anyone forget about Aston Martin before the DB7??........oh yes, so people did road car wise....steveatesh said:
On the Gerry Marshall front I too got that question wrong on my "suitable to own an Aston" questionnaire when I first went into a dealer. However I correctly answered the question on which well known British spy drives Aston Martin cars and also "did you own a Corgi Aston Martin DB5 when you were a child?"
Do I still have to sell my car?
No, you get to keep your car for now but you don't have to be a tt about it!!Do I still have to sell my car?

I dont quite see why everyone is so sensitinve to what Jelly is saying other than the fact he is pointing out the negatives in the current Aston range??
Jelly might not be evertone's taste but don't act like children about the fact some Astons are just sodding lard-arse diet versions of the last model. When is the next Aston not based on the Jag/Ford chassis due??
Jeez, the cars look fantastic and I wish my late father was still around to have raced what is around now compared to the V8 bricks and the DB4s; the only car that was worth it's salt back in the '80s was the DBR4 GP car and even that was 2 years late in it's time!!

Not research , but a geeky memory . I believe a nice write up in ccc of a pale yellow race car. There was some special mention made of the wheels but I forget I dont quite see why everyone is so sensitinve to what Jelly is saying other than the fact he is pointing out the negatives in the current Aston range??
