This was posted as a heads up for any Aston owners that might not be afraid to step out of the tightly constained box that having a "modern" Aston seem to put most of you in.
When you say knowledge of AMs, Lotus, TVR. I presume you have stripped down many of these brands and rebuilt them - if so (yep you might know something), if you have just taken your car to a dealer for work it will be doubtful you really know much other than gather it off of the Interweb!!!!!
Mr Jellison, because Members may reject your idea does not mean that they deserve to be ridiculed as myopic. When you say knowledge of AMs, Lotus, TVR. As for me personally, I do not include myself in the mechanically-minded group. My skills lie elsewhere. This is the primary reason that I have not questioned the mechanics behind your proposition.
C'mon Mr Jellison, 8 pages is not a long thread for you have checked on this before posting.
I like your new proposal, though - Cockman has a certain ring to it
I just happen to know Stuart through racing and have had access to a std AMV8 and the only UK Tweeked version of what RSC are now saying that have gotten sorted.
Yep Cockman does have a certain ring to it - best change it to that before I do I figured you for being a non-hands on'er
Only antagonistic to people that don't read what is in front of them.
I'll leave you Aston punters to it.
Maybe Suart will fill you in on the sorted RSC stuff very soon - but from most (but not all) comment it looks like these mods will be wasted on anyone in the UK.
Not huge power is not everthing to me, power to weight is right up there though. Aston seem to add just a as much weight as they do power. Power is very easy to add (now a days) but weight is harder to loose (easy to add though and lazy).
Tara.
