How come you didn't get Buckely to do it?
I love the Hoon routes round that neck of the woods!
We must do one later in the year when my new one is here!
Cos Stratstones did it for freesmile

They had to drop the front subframe for some warranty work....and part of the job after they put it back together was a full alignmentbiggrin

Regards to Buckley and alignment.... Although I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them on tyres etc...... In all honesty Demon Tweeks have always been better at the alignment stuff, well they certainly were with the TVR anyway..
Makes sense
Never tired Demon Tweeks for geo
I have used 9meister in Warrington with good results

I like the small front Reg plate. Doesn't mask the grill. Do you get pestered by the old bill for that? Do you need to go to a 'special' supplier for a plate like that?

I've never seen that colour interior and would never think to mix it but damn it looks good!

Who ever chose that interior has a very good eye!

Also http://www.craigsplates.com/ is where mine come from I think. There are loads of companies, they ship them from Ireland helping get round the 'show your V5' law. You suddenly realise how easy it could be to clone a car!

Thanks for that peeps. Quinny - sorry to be a pain, but what are the specific dimensions of your front plate? I presume you had to remove the plate holder to get it on?

To be fair, I find the black AM interiors to be less than inspiring too....

One thing I will say, is that on roads like that, the Cayman is the one that has the edge on handlingyes...

We weren't driving like a pair of dicks (to old for them shenanigans) but we literally had the roads to ourselves so it was nice to be able to make progress, and the Cayman just feels so planted, it also has much nicer steeringsmile

I think the Vantage has the edge on the brakes, and feels fantastic when pulling hard out of bends....

All in all an agreeable way to spend an afternoon, and a great way to compare 2 great cars, in a real world environmentsmile

Ok. I think this is going to be my last question. :-) once youv taken the plinth off, how have you attached the plate? Have you created new screw holes in you bumper? Adhesive? Are you reusing existing screw holes? Loadsa thanks.

I had my screw holes filled and painted, plate is on with Halfrauds adhesive pads now, they are more than up to the job. Bear in mind your plate cannot be smaller than the widest screw holes, on my DB9 they were very wide apart and my plate is faily short (6 characters)!

Great job on the front plate. Nice upgrade. You changed a wart into a beauty mark. A nit picker's suggestion, use a felt tip marker on your screw heads to complete the "L" and last "R" in black.

Mr Q, I've never been a fan of the smaller plates on cars.

Yet, on your car they actually look rather splendid.

Perhaps the fantastic aesthetics of your V8V (and its colour) enhance the overall effect.

Or, put another way, I still wouldn't like them on my Beamer. smile

Small plate with no screw holes. That's just on with adhesive pads, it's pretty secure. I measured the exact height of the area between the grille apertures and that give me my plate height smile

Edited to add... it could be a lot narrower!

I really like how you have the GB and little EU sign printed on the white bit. Not a fan of the blue strip down the side of normal plates. I'd like to get a smaller plate printed, and possibly have it respaced as 1 6DH, or 16DH so it looks more like my initials.

What did you do with the screw holes in the bumper? They're right at the extremes of the plate, but I can't see them on your car. I like the touch of having the car make/model at the bottom too smile

Bloomin 'eck Mr Q. The last person to do that to me was the honourable and unique Ed50 when I queried the difference between standard / bright grilles.

I can actually count the flies on your plate.

I must say, I have no problem with the Welsh Dragon on the car. I have no problem with any emblem on a car plate. I compare it to a very small and classy body tattoo, as opposed to the quite ugly and garish body painting which seems to be to the taste of modern footballers smile

hehe 6 looks just like a G (if you squint a bit).

1 GDH wasn't for sale, and would probably be more expensive, so this was the next best option smile
