Just a quick post for those who do use tablets.

The Kindle app is completely free and works with any Apple, Android or Windows tablet or computer. You can also download free pages to see how it looks on your chosen device. wink

Here are some very low resolution screen shots of a few sample pages, please bear in mind they are low quality to allow upload, the actual resolution on the iPad is high... you can download the sample pages below to try and see what I mean via the free Kindle app.....smile
https://www.amazon.co.uk/Definitive-Guide-Gaydon-A...

Full page screen shot as viewed on iPad, the layout is the same as the printed book

Zooming into an image on the page above (this is a low resolution full screen upload the actual resolution on my iPad is much higher/clearer) adds a benefit for the Kindle version, also great if you want the text larger for ease of reading

Example of the entire book search facility, you can find references throughout the hundreds of pages and jump to each page with a simple click.

Multi page view for ease of navigation....
As we have popped over the next page I have just bumped this information so it is still current smile

Although I'm computer literate I'm also old school in preferring print versions - accepting that its not available and the cheapest one for sale is current £165 I have bought a new Kindle Fire 8 HD and the digital download for about half the price, also installed the Kindle reader on my laptop and if I get desperate to have a print copy I can always print it off

Great book and will definitely help in my search for a V8 Vantage
Cheers Andy, that’s what I call commitment bow hopefully you will find the Fire useful for many other purposes, glad to hear you like the guide smile

I would add for others that the free Kindle app will work with any Apple iPad, Android tablet or Windows tablet/computer, so most won’t have to buy a Fire to view the guide, but respect again to Andy cool

Hi Grant, ignoring physical book vs kindle.....

Do the later editions contain the same content as the previous editions, just newer stuff has been added on top?

I am interested in 2009 to 2018 (basically up to the AMR Vantage) and I'm not sure whether the latest edition would be best.

Hi faa77, thanks for the post. Basically each new edition expands the content to cover what’s new since the last edition, that’s by way of new models, new model year data, new issues, and information that has come to light since the previous edition was published. We sometimes rework some of the pages to enhance things but the original detailed information, right from the earliest models, is still there in full...which is why the guide’s page count keeps growing smile

Hi Squaremeal, thanks for taking the time to post here and glad you like the book. We won’t have a print version of the 15th edition, but that isn’t to say we won’t go the printed route again, just not for a while. I would urge you to try the Kindle version via the free download of sample pages. All the updated information is inside the full 15th edition and it views like the printed version and has other advantages (listed above), I appreciate it takes getting used to if you don’t use a tablet, but it’s worth persevering with, why not have a play with the sample pages.
Kind Regards smile

Is there a way to buy it but just in plain PDF format? I don't have Kindle devices. Thanks.

You don't need a kindle device for this book. You can view this on any tablet or phone or PC.

Gassianmist is right, many think of Kindle as the little black and white devices that are best for reading novels! The guide isn’t designed for those because of the huge number of colour images and the reference book page layout. It displays like a PDF (with extra benefits like making notes on a page, etc) and the book works best with the Kindle App, this is a free download for all iPad, Android tablet, Computer/PC, smartphone and Mac. Infact you can have it on more than one device at once ie your work computer, your smartphone for reference on the go and your tablet for the (cough) reading room wink

Hope this helps smile

Will you ever consider publishing a limited special autographed hard copy edition?
Would love to add it to my huge Aston library.

Hi V8, thanks for your post and kind comments, never say never (although any autograph would no doubt reduce the books value hehe ), a limited run may be possible further down the line, but for the foreseeable future the guide is only available in print replica format via the Kindle App, for the reasons mentioned. smile

Hi All
Just a quick one, for those that still wanted a printed version of the guide, we have found a few eleventh edition guides (printed in 2015, covering up to the 16MY, with the Vanquish on the front/back - they don't cover the new generation DB11/Vantage). They are seconds with glue or marks on the inside cover, but the main book is fine.

PM me if you want one and we can pop over a Paypal request to your email. They are £20 each including UK post and packing. We would rather stick to the UK if possible as international shipping problems is one reason why we went digital, but I can find a price for this if required.

Cheers smile

Hello, long time lurker, first time poster. Would like to take a copy of your hands if possible. A present for my Father, will compliment his newly acquired V8 Vantage. Thanks.
