Hi to everyone who's posted here and helped people like me throughout the whole AMV buying experience. I've had for just over a month now, a black/black 23K V8, 07, very well loaded except premium audio. Extra nine months premium warranty (21 in all) and DBS lamps. Got it from JCT600 in Leeds. Uunfortunately I've had a few minor issues but the guys have sorted out everything so far via my local dealer (Grange Welwyn)so I've no complaints.

However, I have four niggles (sorry if I've missed these on the search).

Clutch. I had been looking for a very long time for the right car so after local test drives I got yhe car from Leeds, I didn't test drive the car before I bought, assuming that any problems would get sorted. My assumptions were correct and all issues are fixed. But one of the only questions I asked was regarding the weight of the clutch. I was told it was fine but of course one man's fine is another.... It's bl**dy heavy! Grange say it's heavy but doen't seem to be faulty. Most people who try the clutch say it's very heavy. I've told JCT600 and their response was if it faulty they would sort it which is OK by me. It works fine it just hurts my knee (a lot). How do you measure the stiffness of the clutch. Rick has told me that the car should not be uncomfortable to drive but I dread traffic jams. I'm off to Works service in a couple of weeks to let them have a look but it is ruining the experience of the car.

Wing mirrors, my near side wing mirror doeas not fold in enough, when folded out it's borderline viewable from my position. When folded in it's at a different angle to the off side. I've looked a t a few others and one in three seems to have this issue. Any ideas.

Bluetooth phone, I'm being told it sounds like I'm in a cave speaking very quietly.

Garage door opener, doesn't connect to my Garadoor garamatic10. Spoke to Homelink technical, a lady looked it up and said not on the list! I can get a universal control added which will talk to the car but any ideas why it doesn't work. Homelinks list has a couple of openers at 868MHz which is my frequency but I'm stumped. The Homelink system in the car does work fin with my house alarm and lights.

Any help greatly appreciated.

I also have an 07 V8V;

Clutch: Well it is heavy compared with 'normal' cars and I could well imagine that in a traffic jam it would be a right bugger! But, I wouldn't say it is knee hurting stuff - unless you have weak knees! I test drove a few before mine and they did all have heavy clutches. I guess you need to compare it with others - which might be hard to do, but I would guess an AM dealer would let you try others. If not, you could always go to a dealer and book a test drive on a similar model (just take another car when you go!).

Bluetooth: Mine is the best I have had on any car! It is crystal clear on reception and I have had no complaints from anyone listening to me. Again, you could try out another on a test drive - or even find someone local on Pistonheads to compare.

Cant comment on the others, sorry,

Good luck!

Bluetooth - Early cars and I think the 07's are included, have a known 'issue' with the microphone on bluetooth. Its very neatly packaged in the reading lights block at top of screen. A lot of cars were modified by having an additional, but visible microphone run in.
Clutch? Well the OH doesn't complain about our one, can only assume there is a problem with your.
