Hi Grant. Perhaps people just buy the colour they like? The day I start speccing my cars based on what other people think you have my permission to shoot me. If I'm spending £££££££s on the car of my dreams then I'm sure as hell going to have it how I want it. I'm NOT going to aplogise for having a beautiful car. If other people don't like it - tough. That doesn't mean I'm not sympathetic to or unaware of the struggle some are having though.

I do that too, but in 1/18th Have a model of the SL, DB9 and ML, couldn't find any of the others, since they're just mediocre hatchbacks. Do you get colours so they match the car too?

I had a white BMW and they made the model in every colour but that, then I bought a custom coloured Audi so that was a no-no. They don't even make a 1:43 V8V Roadster let alone a glacial blue one so I've got a coupe in silver... My Mini is in the right colour though!
I have considered painting them though...

The steel used is Swedish and is higher than surgical grade... The movements are manufactured entirely in-house since 2000... They invented the waterproof watch, the first automatically changing date (and day-date), the first watch with a second timezone and were the first to have a wristwatch certified as a chonometer. In short, they are peerless as a manufacture of timepieces and as a brand.
I am not silly enough to claim they make the best timepieces in the world, that is entirely subjective but they'll always be something special. Like Aston Martin.

Got a models from Renualt (ClioV6 Mk1) and Porsche (Boxster & GT3) when I bought cars from them as part of their pre launch build up. Didn't seem a big deal at the time but fun to have them in my office - now the real cars have long gone.
Have had a model GT40 on my desk for many years - which is probably as near as I'll ever get to owning one!
