Having just purchased a 2005 DB9 I am having trouble with the boot lid! Its very heavy to lift and wants to close very quickly, so I assumed that the struts must have gone. So I bought a pair of secondhand ones and fitted them. However they made no difference, so either I have purchased a faulty pair or the boot-lid behaves this way.?

My question is do DB9 boot-lids behave this way?

My DB9 is a 2005 too and although lifting it is not too bad, it does want to slam down. I was about to order some secondhand struts, but after your experience will probably splash out on a new pair.

Same here, I've had to learn to be gentle and guide it......not easy for someone notoriously heavy handed and used to slamming the boot shut on my TVR.

I had to slam mine, which I hated doing for obvious reasons.
Had it adjusted at a service and is like a dream now.

So I imagine "they are all like that" too.
