So , being new to this Aston ownership , does the DBS have this Fuse22 , i assume it does and if so which 20A fuse is it in the boot? And also does it do any long term damage if its removed. Thanks in advance

Yes it does, check the fuse diagram in the manual. From memory it's somewhere near the top left of the board as you are looking at it.

Just had the exhaust switch fitted to the DBS by Works Service, far more convenient.

I looked inside the fuse box - the front row follows the manual exactly. The back row is line 2 and 3 and doesnt appear to follow the manual. There is 3 or 4 20A fuses in these rows and dont know which is which .

Just count them regardless of what's in them. You'll find that most do agree with the fuse chart.

I have just counted and I have 21 fuses . Maybe the previous owner has already removed it . If anyone outhere can post a pic of where is should be on a DBS , it would be appreciated

Is the DBS not like the new Virage/Rapide where it is fuse 9 (I think)? I'm sure it changed from fuse 22 for those 2, but unsure if the DBS is the same.

I knew I had heard it somewhere. smile

What was the reasoning behind changing it?

Not sure on the official reason but it was put in a position much more remote and difficult to remove frown

Steve, Fuse 22 is the last fuse in the list, 20A. Is there a fuse in that slot? If there is then simply remove it, if there isn't then it's already removed.

So here is my fuse box - with only 21 fuses , i assume no 22 should be back row far left where the empty slot is ? Looks like previous owner has already removed it , but if anyone can check that would reassure me i'm making the right noise.
cheers

fuse 22 is the very end one top left yellow in colour, and in this instance still in place , if you look closely above the fuses on the top row they are numbered, as as can be seen from the photo fuse number 1 being the bottom right,

The noise difference with fuse 22 in is quite profound between 1700-4000 where the car is very quiet - gah - AWFUL!!!

After first test drive with it in I refused to buy the car, and made the dealer take it out, after demonstrating the noise of my v8 with fuse removed.

Having demonstrated the difference they were glad to remove 22 - two more test drives and an hour later they had a sale.

Awesome awesome noise even just pottering around town in 1st and 2nd.

The popping noise on overrun is the best.

Three hundred and something, plus the switch.

You can get a cheaper mod, but we wouldn't want to devalue the car now would we wink
