Just took my V8V on AMOC track day at goodwood, thrashed the daylights out of it, used £94 worth of petrol, bloody good fun, no probs at all, this is the 3rd track day i've done, all without issues.

So finally we get to the bottom of the DB9 rationale.Did you feel it was a good value day out ??
A DB9 with 2+2 is always going to be better value than a vantage there!
Ah the scotsman always shines through.

I did the family day last Thursday. It was a brilliant day. I paid an extra £50.00 to have my son as an extra driver.Did you feel it was a good value day out ??
It seems reasonably good value to me. You can do an airfield day for much less, but most "proper" tracks are more expensive. Also, there is a maximum of 5 cars on the circuit at any one time, so you don't spend too much time stuck behind other cars.
This was my third AMOC track day at Goodwood. I'm sure that I will be back there next year.
OP, if you are unsure about taking your car onto the track, then you might consider the PDC at Millbrook. A car is provided, and some of the course elements are very track focussed.

It was a great day out and good value, may be not the cheapest of track days, but the way it was organised you could at least concentrate on improving your techniques(?), rather than worrying about the kid in the Subaru up your arse!Did you feel it was a good value day out ??
OP, I've just completed the Super car Saturday at Combe in my V8V. I did 70 plus laps. I put a few more PSI in the tyres and that was it. The car performed well other than brakes that went a bit soft I think new pads and a fluid change was needed. today I drove the car to Brussels, simples

Your profile says that you are in Scotland, so Millbrook might be a bit far for you to travel.
Lady Topaz did an excellent review here

Bamford Mike: You mentioned that the standard sump is not up to the task for the V12. Should I be concerned about this if I'm planning on taking my car to the track? Although I will drive through the corners at speeds I would consider fast, I probably won't be traveling nearly as fast as a pro would.
No, don't be concerned. Issue limited to probably Nurburgring, probably slicks probably a pro driver only. Pro driver = nobody at the factory.... Just make sure she is topped to max oil level and she will serve you well.
Enjoy your track days without a doubt in your mind. Although a talent bag greater than the rapide pilot on another thread is advisable
