So, the wheels on my '07 V8V are starting to get a bit scabby with the finish starting to peel away in places. What's the consensus, cognoscenti? Refurbish or replace...?

Theres a company on ebay who send you out a set of refurbed wheels which you then get fitted with your tyres.

You simply call them to collect your old wheels £360.

Im concidering this myself same age car as yours BTW

Is there a problem with the wheels on the most recent models?? The wheels on my 2001 DB7 Vantage Volante are still perfect.

I've not had any Aston wheels done yet but I usually pay £20 per wheel for shot blasting and powder-coating in any colour you like.

Seems a good deal! Would consider this, not in the Aston but maybe fun to change the 911s wheels at some point when the inevitable London parking scrape occurs. Where are they based?

Does anyone have some pics of anything other than standard wheels on an 07V8v? They would need to be quite classy - nothing chavy!

It is rather shocking that the alloy wheels on any 4 year old car need attention, never mind a premium brand such as AM

It depends on all sorts of factors though, not just how they're made. Not saying at all that the OP has done this but if you use your car in all weathers and aren't thoroughly cleaning and sealing them eventually the finish will go, whether it's a Veyron or a Fiesta.

Exactly
My last roadster had the wheels recondition after 18 months of the previous owners abuse.
Diamond cut faces are very popular now but are not very tough. The lacquer does not seem to bond as well to the smooth diamond cut finish. Any scuff or marks often result in the lacquer lifting as moisture gets underneath frown

Burntout - they look rather tasty! Can you PM me with details, please.

I agree - it is very disappointing that the finish is starting to lift on a car that is just four years old and with only 13k on the clock. She is very well maintained, cleaned frequently (without being TOO fastidious!) and alloys paid particular attention to.
