Stratstone are the largest AM dealers. Completely understand positive feedback though as an ex customer I found them very helpful a while back. More recently less convinced, their volume dealer franchise mentality from Pendragon is much more evident.
Broughtons in Cheltenham are now owned by a committed high end car dealer parent and well regarded.
Grange from personal experience also excellent.
+1 for Broughtons - first class in every aspect of service.

If you can go up to London I found HWM at Walton on Thames very good (it's where I got mine!).

I had a very poor experience with an AM dealer group and they lost a sale because of it. I have been back since then with a service issue and again they let me down with very poor service frown I will not be rushing back despite being on my doorstep.

I bought my v8v from a main dealer. The service was what I expected, nothing more. When I went back after a few weeks and said "I need 4 seats, any chance you can put me in a db9?" they offered to take back my v8v at 10k less than I paid for it. Whilst it was my fault for not getting a db9 in the first place, I feel it's these situations that really puts them to the test and my dealer failed miserably. As for driving DB9s up and don the country for you, guys its nothing to write home about. It's part and parcel of the sales process and represents a minor cost of sale which they recoup by not haggling on the price I.e. look what we just did for you and now you want a discount?!

It's done! I ended up going a fair way from home (Stratstone Tyne & Wear) to get it but I'm now the proud new owner of an Onyx Black 4.3 V8VR!

Mel, Alex and everybody else at Stratstone were a pleasure to deal with. Pics to follow tomorrow once I get a get a couple of good ones.

Excellent time to buy a roadster too - I trust the roof will be down if it isn't raining? wink

+1 for Lloyd at Grange Exeter. Very good guy and helpful. Beware though - very persuasive and a chat with him can prove very costly wink

A near similar experience from Wilmslow except they offered an in build Vantage for a little more than a pre owned model.

To such an extent it wasn't even a question to opt for the new car.
They are generally very aggressive price wise, they have offered some fantastic deals on used and new ,they just offered me a 2011 DBS 2012 spec( new garmin nav system etc)I think 1500 miles on clock for £112k, and prior to that a new v12v carbon black at 115k.

I agree with Captain Beakey. Apart from a small mis-understaanding about renewing the tax when all the documents were with the tax office to change the number plate, it all went very well until my bank decided that I didn't have the authority to spend the money in my account! Thanks to a great deal of persevering and Ian Swift driving me from one branch where the fax machine didn't work to another that did, we managed to complete the deal before the banks closed and I was stranded in Birmingham!

One small downside; it was very gloomy and hosing down with rain by the time I left making the drive back fairly tiring. Also, my bunions were hurting and I was longing for a lovely pipe of old shag. However, the car is magnificent and the crappy weather allowed me to take in the benefits of the 700w sound system. There was no temptation to get the roof down! Even in automatic, booting the car sounds amazing, despite the music.

Will post some pics to be taken at home rather than in the "Black Country".

I have a 4 yr old daughter! I also have a 4x4 but there have been enough times where it would have been nice to all go out together as a family in a nice car. As it is, I mostly use the v8v on my own. A db9 would get more use and the three of us could share in the experience together.
